>How do anons feel about being invited to go to a party in a soft target location that does not allow concealed carry weapons?
Carry everywhere, even inside your home, because you never know when someone could appear on your porch, or inside your house, and you don't want to be caught off guard.
Always be on alert.
Never go anywhere without a weapon, not in these crazy times.
Never.
As far as the "not being allowed to carry weapons" the only thing that matters is whether that's a LAW (because the party's being held in a federal building or a school) or is it a policy.
Does the venue have metal detectors?
If the party's not being held on federal property or a school, I would carry.
If it's merely a policy and there are no metal detectors, then you're only violating a policy, not breaking the law.
And God forbid, if you have to use it at this place that prohibits firearms (fuck them), then nobody will care if you save lives by having to pull a piece.
On a related note, be like the wife of my former boss used to be: don't eat or drink anything from strangers. We used to think my boss's wife was weird because she would never eat or drink anything unless she brought it to the party.
Later on I found out she was from a Clown Family in the Bethesda area.
Her dad, a Clown, taught the boss's wife to never eat or drink from a stranger, because Clowns and other malevolent people use food and drink to get to others.
I know this all sounds so jaded and even a little paranoid.
But if I were you, I would never go to a party anywhere at any time, unless it's with trusted people you know real well, and no strangers would be there.
If you're on this board, someone out there probably knows who you are, for better or worse.
But no matter what, don't go anywhere without a weapon because you just never know when you may need to defend yourself or others.
Notwithstanding all that pessimistic negativity, have a Merry Christmas, preferably alone, eating and drinking only things you've made, strapped with a couple of pieces on you, and surrounded by multiple video cameras, dogs, floodlights, and, NO TRESPASSING signs.
Sounds awful, and I'm only half-joking.
Until things start getting cleared up, trust nobody.
And above all, don't let a private company or private citizen violate your rights guaranteed by the big, beautiful Second Amendment to The United States Constitution.
Stay comfy.
