Diamond Dust Sky Eye
Why is there a huge eye in the sky? Diamond dust. That is an informal term for small ice crystals that form in the air and flitter to the ground. Because these crystals are geometrically shaped, they can together reflect light from the Sun or Moon to your eyes in a systematic way, causing huge halos and unusual arcs to appear. And sometimes, together the result can seem like a giant eye looking right back at you. In the featured image taken in the Ore Mountains of the Czech Republic last week, a bright Moon rising through ice fog-filled air resulted in many of these magnificent sky illusions to be visible simultaneously. Besides Moon dogs, tangent arcs, halos, and a parhelic circle, light pillars above distant lights are visible on the far left, while Jupiter and Mars can be found just inside the bottom of the 22-degree halo.

Hang a Shining Star Upon the Highest Bough
Dec 24, 2024
This new view of the “Christmas tree cluster” NGC 2264, released on Dec. 17, 2024, combines data from NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory and optical data from astrophotographer Michael Clow’s telescope in Arizona.
Chandra data is represented in red, purple, blue, and white, while optical data is in green and violet.
Located about 2,500 light-years from Earth, NGC 2264 is a cluster of young stars between one and five million years old.
The stars are seen here as blue and white lights surrounded by swirls of gas—the “pine needles” of the tree—with green representing light in the visible spectrum.

What does the NASA administrator do?
Dec 25, 2024
Leaders of NASA sit in an awkward position. While they are the head of a widely recognized organization, they’re often not the most famous individual in the agency.
More people probably know the names of Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams, the astronauts currently "stranded" on the International Space Station, than Bill Nelson, the current NASA administrator.
Astronauts might be the people most closely associated with NASA, but administrators are arguably more integral to getting programs off the ground.
As a space policy expert, I’ve seen the impact that individual NASA leaders can have on NASA’s success.
They play a vital role in deciding what NASA does and how it does it, and they also help build political support for space exploration.
NASA is an independent government bureaucracy, meaning that it does not fall under one of the cabinet departments – like the Department of State. As such, the leader of NASA is an administrator rather than a secretary.
Although the name differs, a NASA administrator has similar duties and responsibilities as a cabinet secretary. They help make decisions about which major programs and policies should be pursued and how they’re carried out.
NASA administrators work with partners in industry, including the commercial space industry. They also represent NASA while presenting to Congress and during diplomatic relations with other countries.
NASA administrators are also accountable to elected officials. Administrators are appointed by the president but must be confirmed by the Senate.
Congress has a great deal to say about the budget that NASA gets each year. They also must authorize major programs, like the Artemis program, which aims to return the U.S. and its partners to the moon.
Although major decisions like these are often out of their hands, NASA administrators still have a lot of influence behind the scenes.
James Webb, NASA’s second administrator, who held the office between 1961 and 1968, is often credited as being integral in maintaining political support for the Apollo program.
Dan Goldin, the longest-serving NASA administrator, helped save the International Space Station from cancellation in the early 1990s by convincing the Clinton administration to invite Russia’s participation.
As administrator in the early 2000s, Mike Griffin helped jump-start the commercial space industry by instituting the Commercial Orbital Transportation Services program.
This program provided funding to companies who would first send cargo to the International Space Station, and then later, astronauts.
1/2
However, not all administrators are as productive as Webb, Goldin or Griffin. Richard Truly was fired from the post by George H.W. Bush in 1992 after disagreeing with the administration’s 1989 proposal to return the U.S. to the Moon.
Charles Bolden found controversy when he told Al-Jazeera that President Barack Obama instructed him to make outreach to Muslim countries one of NASA’s priorities.
Both Truly and Bolden were astronauts before becoming administrator. But that doesn’t mean that former astronauts are somehow worse in the position than people coming from other backgrounds.
NASA administrators have historically had a wide variety of backgrounds, including scientists, engineers and even former members of Congress.
The current NASA administrator, Bill Nelson, is both a former senator and a former astronaut, having gone to space on the shuttle Columbia in January 1986.
No matter the administrator, the coming years will bring big decisions for whoever is next.
With the recent announcement that the around-the-moon mission of Artemis 2 is delayed until spring of 2026, NASA still has much work to do in its Artemis program.
Major issues remain to be addressed with the crew vehicle, including problems with the capsule’s heat shield and electronic systems.
Further, the success of commercial space companies like SpaceX means there will be more pressure on NASA to find ways to reduce costs by leveraging the services of commercial companies.
More broadly, many other countries are looking to how the U.S. is operating in space.
Aside from what some see as a new space race with China, questions about space debris, space traffic management and space resources will involve cooperation with other countries and will require administrator involvement.
Finally, the NASA administrator will have to contend with a recurring issue: fewer resources. Historically, NASA has been appropriated less money than necessary to carry out all the things it has been charged to do.
This situation leads to hard decisions about what kinds of missions to support. Space science and robotic exploration typically lose out to things like human spaceflight.
Even though the next administrator will need to make hard decisions, the next few years will be full of excitement as the U.S. and others pursue increasingly ambitious goals.

Senate NASA bill focuses on commercial space stations, science mission overruns
December 24, 2024
A NASA authorization bill introduced in the Senate in the final days of the current Congress would have directed NASA to accelerate work on commercial space stations and address cost overruns on science programs.
The NASA Transition Authorization Act of 2024 was formally introduced in the Senate Dec. 18 by Sen. Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.), chair of the Senate Commerce Committee, along with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), ranking member of the committee.
Other co-sponsors include Sens. Kyrsten Sinema (I-Ariz.) and Eric Schmitt (R-Mo.), chair and ranking member of the committee’s space subcommittee, and Sens. Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) and Roger Wicker (R-Miss.).
The bill would have authorized $25.478 billion for NASA in fiscal year 2025, slightly above the $25.434 billion in the Senate version of an appropriations bill for the year and higher than the $25.384 billion requested by the agency for 2025.
“This bipartisan legislation sets an ambitious course for America’s space program, ensuring NASA’s leadership from Earth’s orbit to the Moon and Mars,” Cantwell said in a Dec. 20 statement about the bill.
With the bill’s other cosponsors, “we’re charting a strong course for America’s leadership in space exploration.”
A particular focus of the 101-page bill is on plans to transition from the International Space Station to commercial space stations at the end of the decade.
The bill makes clear that it wants NASA to handle that transition without any gap in the agency’s crewed presence in low Earth orbit.
“The Administrator may not de-orbit the International Space Station until the date on which a commercial low-Earth orbit destination space station has reached initial operational capability in low-Earth orbit,” the bill states.
It does grant an exception if the agency concludes that “technical issues” prevent continued safe operations of the ISS.
The bill calls for an “an orderly, managed transition” from the ISS to commercial stations once such stations are ready, “in such a way as to maintain a continuous human presence.”
The bill explicitly defines “continuous human presence” as the ability to maintain one or more government or government-sponsored astronauts in LEO on “permanent, on-going basis.”
NASA had, as part of the development of a LEO microgravity strategy, opened the door to interpreting “continuous human presence” to mean a continuous capability to support humans in LEO, but not necessarily having people there permanently.
The final version of the strategy, released Dec. 16, endorsed the “continuous heartbeat” concept of having people in orbit continuously.
The bill would also have NASA somewhat accelerate the next phase of its Commercial LEO Destinations (CLD) program to support the development of commercial stations.
It calls for NASA to release a final request for proposals for the next phase of the CLD program to cover certification of the stations and initial services by the end of September 2025, with NASA making selections by the end of March 2026.
The bill adds that NASA should select at least two providers in that phase, “subject to the availability of meritorious proposals and appropriations.” That is a slightly faster schedule than what NASA is currently proposing.
In a briefing to industry earlier this month, NASA outlined a notional schedule for phase two of the CLD program that would release the final request for proposals some time in the fall of 2025, with selections in the summer of 2026.
1/2
Science mission cost caps
Another area of focus of the bill was on the cost of NASA science programs. It cited “immature and unreliable” cost estimates made in the early phases of missions, causing challenges to the overall portfolio of science missions as costs of those missions grow.
“Relying on early cost estimates made prior to preliminary design review for science missions which then experience such cost growth may disincentivize program and cost discipline moving forward,” the bill stated.
It called for a report by the Government Accountability Office on the “establishment of and compliance with” cost caps set for science missions.
That interest in cost growth extends to Mars Sample Return (MSR), the campaign of missions to return samples from Mars that has suffered extensive delays and cost overruns, prompting an ongoing agency review.
The bill would have directed NASA to provide, no later than 90 days after enactment, a new implementation plan for MSR with “realistic cost and schedule estimates.”
Moreover, the bill would have directed NASA to enter into “firm fixed-price agreements with 1 or more United States industry partners” to carry out that revised plan no more than a year after the bill’s enactment.
The bill, by contrast, said little about NASA’s space technology programs. It also endorsed continuation of NASA’s ongoing exploration programs, including the Space Launch System rocket and Orion spacecraft.
One section, for example, is titled “Reaffirmation of the Space Launch System.”
Those and other provisions are moot points for now. The bill, introduced in the final days of the current Congress, was not taken up by the Senate before it adjourned after the passage Dec. 20 of a new continuing resolution to fund the government through mid-March.
Even if it passed, the House had shown little interest in this bill, having passed its own NASA authorization bill in September.
The bill, though, may signal areas of interest by the Senate in the new Congress that convenes in January.
Cruz and Cantwell will remain as leaders of the Senate Commerce Committee next year, with Cruz as chairman and Cantwell as ranking member in the Republican-controlled Senate.
“This bipartisan legislation brings stability and certainty to NASA and the entire U.S. space program, including NASA centers like Houston’s Johnson Space Center,” Cruz said in the statement about the bill.
“I look forward to continuing to work with my colleagues to advance a bold vision for our nation’s science and space exploration efforts.”

White House Releases Stunning Holiday Drone Tour by ‘Right Up Our Alley’ Creator
December 25, 2024
In an unprecedented blend of Drone Technology and holiday tradition, the White House has released a spectacular first-person view (FPV) drone tour of its 2023 Christmas decorations, created by renowned aerial cinematographer Jay Christensen.
The mesmerizing flight, which takes viewers through the intricately decorated rooms and corridors of America’s most famous residence, represents a rare authorized drone operation in one of the country’s most restricted airspaces.
From Bowling Alleys to the White House
Jay Christensen, who gained international recognition for his viral “Right Up Our Alley” bowling alley Drone Video, brings his signature single-take style to this historic setting.
The filmmaker’s ability to navigate tight spaces while maintaining smooth transitions has become his trademark, earning him opportunities to showcase locations typically off-limits to drone operations.
Technical Marvel in a Restricted Space
Flying an FPV drone through the White House’s historic interiors presented unique challenges, requiring exceptional pilot skill and careful coordination with the Secret Service.
The flight path showcases multiple rooms decorated for the holidays, with the drone gracefully maneuvering around delicate ornaments, historic artifacts, and architectural features.
The video demonstrates the evolution of Drone cinematography from a specialty tool to a mainstream storytelling medium, even in sensitive government facilities.
This marks a significant shift in how traditional security protocols can adapt to accommodate innovative filming techniques while maintaining strict safety standards.
Setting New Precedents
This collaboration between the White House and a professional drone pilot opens new possibilities for documenting historic spaces.
While the White House remains within the Washington DC Flight Restricted Zone (FRZ), this authorized flight shows how exceptions can be made for specific, controlled operations by qualified professionals.
The production required careful planning and coordination with multiple agencies, as drone operations near federal buildings typically face severe restrictions under FAA regulations and security protocols.
The successful execution of this flight could pave the way for similar productions at other historically significant sites.
The video serves not only as a holiday greeting but also as a testament to the advancing capabilities of drone technology and its potential for creating compelling content while navigating complex regulatory and security requirements.
It sets a new benchmark for what’s possible in restricted airspace when proper protocols are followed and professional expertise is employed.

Russian mall explosion caused by drone: official
Dec 25, 2024, 5:38 PM
A fixed-wing robotic aircraft was shot down by Russian air defenses over the capital of North Ossetia, the head of the southern Russian republic, Sergey Menyailo, said on his Telegram account.
He added that CCTV cameras show an explosion outside of Alania Mall, RT reported.
Earlier in the day, the Russian military reported destroying 59 Ukrainian drones in Kiev’s latest barrage against Russia.
Twenty-six were shot down over Bryansk Region, which borders Ukraine. The report did not mention North Ossetia or any other Russian part in the Caucasus.
The ministry has yet to comment on Menyailo’s statement.
Menyailo previously confirmed the death of one woman following the mall blast and said that another person injured at the mall was taken to a hospital.
That person’s injuries are not life-threatening, the official said.
The explosion started a fire at the upper central part of the building. Local firefighters managed to extinguish it after roughly an hour. Vladikavkaz is located about 850km from Kiev-controlled territory.
Ukrainian forces regularly launch long-range drone attacks deep inside Russia, which officials in Moscow describe as desperate attempts to compensate for defeats on the front line.

Mystery Drones Won't Interfere With Santa Claus' Work: US Air Force General
Dec 24, 2024 21:00 pm IST
Santa Claus has no need to worry about recent mystery drone sightings over New Jersey, a US Air Force general said Tuesday, as an annual tradition of "tracking" Saint Nick swung into action.
General Gregory Guillot's reassurances came as the joint US-Canadian North American Aerospace Defense Command reported that Santa and his reindeer were making stops across Asia, including Japan and North Korea.
Santa's journey this year comes after weeks of mysterious sightings of alleged drones in New Jersey, sparking worldwide curiosity even as many of the reported sightings were debunked.
"Of course we are concerned about drones and anything else in the air," NORAD commander Guillot told Fox News. "But I don't foresee any difficulty at all with drones for Santa this year."
NORAD's Santa tracker dates to 1955, when a Colorado newspaper advertisement printed a phone number to connect children with Santa – but mistakenly directed them to the hotline for the joint military nerve center.
To avoid disappointing the little ones, NORAD's director of operations at the time, Colonel Harry Shoup, ordered his staff to "check" the radar to see where Santa might be and update the children calling in on his location.
When not spreading holiday cheer, NORAD conducts aerospace and maritime control and warning operations – including monitoring for missile launches from North Korea, something perhaps on Santa's mind as he guided his reindeer-hauled sleigh over Pyongyang.
The tracker, which has been modernized and moved online to noradsanta.org, includes a 3D map showing Santa's movements in real time, as well as a ticker constantly shooting upward showing approximately how many presents have been delivered.
"North American Aerospace Defense Command always does a fantastic job helping us keep tabs on Santa's navigational heading and bearing in the skies above," astronaut Buzz Aldrin, the second person to ever walk on the Moon, said on social media.
Last year, US President Joe Biden joined in the fun at NORAD's call center, taking calls from children. As of Tuesday morning, some 1.2 billion presents had been delivered, according to NORAD.

NATO scrambles warplanes after brutal Putin terrorises Ukrainians with Christmas missile and drone attacks as Keir Starmer condemns 'bloody and brutal' strikes
Updated: 07:55 EST, 25 December 2024
NATO was forced to scramble warplanes on its eastern flank on Christmas Day as Vladimir Putin unleashed savage missile and kamikaze drone strikes on targets across Ukraine.
Russia's warplanes, missiles and drones attacked key civilian infrastructure, specifically power plants and supply networks, to leave long-suffering Ukrainians freezing over the festivities.
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer condemned the strikes on Ukraine's energy grid, labelling the attacks 'bloody and brutal… with no respite even at Christmas'.
Moscow used its long-range strategic bombers, including nuclear-capable Tu-95 'Bear' aircraft, from Olenya airfield in the Arctic.
Reports said Russian missiles had overflown Moldova - a sovereign state - and crossed the territory of Romania, a NATO country, prompting the security bloc's fighter jets to take flight.
The Polish armed forces operational headquarters announced that its commander had 'activated all available forces and resources at his disposal, the on-duty fighter pairs were scrambled, and the ground-based air defence and radar reconnaissance systems reached the highest state of readiness'.
Volodymyr Zelensky claimed more than 70 missiles and 100 drones were unleashed in the attack as he labelled Putin 'evil' for the Christmas Day strike.
'Every Russian massive strike takes time to prepare,' said Zelensky. 'It is never a spontaneous decision. It is a conscious choice not only of targets, but also of time and date.
'Today, Putin deliberately chose Christmas for an attack. What could be more inhumane? Russian evil will not break Ukraine and will not distort Christmas.'
Ukraine's tilt to the West is particularly clear amid the festive period - many people now mark Christmas on 24 and 25 December, rather than on 6 and 7 January as in Russia.
Putin evidently deliberately targeted the seasonal festivities, with Ukrainian civilians forced to spend Christmas morning cowering in metro stations and other bomb shelters.
But Russia has generally intensified its attacks on the Ukrainian energy sector since spring 2024, damaging almost half of its generating capacity and causing hours-long blackouts throughout the country.
Explosions were reported early this morning in multiple Ukrainian regions, with Putin attacking key civilian infrastructure.
Much of Kharkiv - Ukraine's second city - was left without heating from Putin's Christmas onslaught.
Water supplies and electricity were also hit as were 'many civilian infrastructure facilities', said one local Telegram channel.
The country's largest private energy company DTEK said its generating facilities were attacked during the strike, causing 'serious damages' to power equipment.
'This year, it is the 13th massive attack on the Ukrainian energy sector and the 10th massive attack on the company's energy facilities,' DTEK said on Telegram.
Strikes with Iskander-M and Kh-101 missiles were targeted at Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Dnipro. Reports said some 20 explosions hit Dnipro this morning. More than five hit Kremenchuk and there were up to 15 in Kharkiv.
At least one person was killed in Dnipro, while six people were wounded in a missile attack on Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine, regional governor Oleh Syniehubov said.
Ukrainian air forces said ballistic missiles attacked Kharkiv and Syniehubov said on the Telegram messaging app that there were 'damages to civilian non-residential infrastructure'.
There were fears for power plants in Burshtyn and Kryvyi Rih, as well as gas storage facilities in Stryi, Lviv region.
Ukraine's energy minister German Galushchenko said: 'The enemy is again mass attacking the energy industry.
'The transmission system operator takes the necessary measures to limit consumption to minimise the negative consequences for the power system.
'As soon as the security situation allows, energy workers will clarify the damage caused. 'Stay tuned for official notifications. While the danger continues - stay in shelters!'
1/2
The chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council Mykola Lukashuk warned: 'The Russian occupation troops are trying to plunge us into darkness and cold.'
Kharkiv mayor Ihor Terekhov said his city was festooned in Christmas decorations for the first time since 2022.
'The outgoing year was extremely difficult for Kharkiv and all of us,' he said.'The enemy terrorises the city every day, but the spirit of Kharkiv - our spirit - cannot be broken!
'Together we overcome difficulties, heal the city's wounds and try to normalise our lives in the conditions of war. I believe that next year a just peace will come to Ukraine.
And with it - restoration, in which each of us plays an important role.'
Ukrainian energy supplier Ukrenergo said today: 'Due to a large-scale missile attack, measures have been taken to limit consumption.
'The schedule of power outages in your region can be found on the website and official pages of your regional power company.'
After a Ukrainian strike on Russian city Kazan on 21 December, Putin had said: 'Whoever tries to destroy something in our country, no matter how hard they try, will face much greater destruction at home for it, and will regret ever attempting to do anything in our country.'
In missile strikes on Kryvyi Rih on Christmas Eve, one died and 17 were injured.
Russian anti-Putin resistance movement ATESH said today: 'The occupiers are trying to ban Ukrainians from celebrating Christmas
'Our agents in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories report that the occupiers have increased control over people who celebrate Christmas on December 24 and 25 according to the New Julian calendar.
'At the enterprises, collaborators pass on lists of such people to the FSB, considering them 'potential saboteurs'.
'The occupiers consider the celebration of Christmas on these dates as a manifestation of Ukrainian identity and seek to suppress any cultural traditions associated with the Ukrainian church and people.
'However, attempts to eradicate Ukrainian culture are doomed to failure.'

5,000 US drones dazzle Christmas sky, break China’s world record with 30-min show
Dec 24, 2024 08:01 AM EST
Sky Elements, a Texas-based drone show company, has set a new world record.
Interestingly, the company achieved the Guinness World Record for the “Longest Animation Performed by Drones” with a mesmerizing 30-minute Christmas show in Texas, US.
This spectacular Christmas show with over 5,000 drones unfolded at the Birdville ISD Fine Arts/Athletics Complex in North Richland Hills, Texas, on December 20.
This is their 11th Guinness World Record, breaking their previous record of 2,500 drones set just a week ago
“Not only did we spread the holiday spirit, but we also scored our 11th Guinness World Record while we were at it!” said Preston Ward, Chief Pilot of Sky Elements.
5,000 drones
The drone show was a “drive-in event.” Viewers remained in their cars while watching the performance. The show included a synchronized audio track.
Viewers tuned their car radios to the specified FM frequency (88.9 FM) to hear the accompanying music, narration, or sound effects that matched the drone light show.
A Guinness World Records official was on-site to verify the record.
The North Texas-based company orchestrated a 30-minute aerial narrative featuring 2,500 drones, surpassing the previous record of 26 minutes and 26 seconds held by a Chinese firm.
The company website’s update mentions that this mesmerizing display of 5,000 drones took to the sky to form a gigantic, lifelike turkey.
Adding to the visual spectacle, the turkey dramatically spread its feathers, showcasing a vibrant and colorful autumnal palette.
Further, the drone show transformed into a magical Christmas scene. A giant snowman and a whimsical gingerbread village, complete with festive lights and smoke, appeared in a breathtaking display.
In the end, it showcased Santa Claus and his reindeer soaring across the skyline, spreading Christmas joy to the audience.
Santa’s sleigh was brimming with gifts, and the overall display conveyed the festive message of “Merry Christmas to all, and to all, a good flight!”

Wild video shows UFO accelerating instantly as family are left stunned
December 24, 2024
Footage has emerged of what appears to be a 'UFO' hovering in the skies over New Jersey before suddenly accelerating away leaving the family who were watching lost for words.
In a short 13 second clip posted to social media, a white light can be seen blinking in the sky before suddenly vanishing.
In the footage which was shot on Sunday night close near Atlantic City, family members can be heard discussing what they are witnessing before suddenly the object disappears.
'It just vanished!' one exclaimed excitedly. 'I just watched it through the telescope,' they said.
The footage was sent to Tim Janicki by a friend.
'I was starting to lose interest in these #drones #orbs until I received this video from our friends who went out tonight down by the bay. I don't trust random videos I see on X… but this is 100% real (wait till 4 sec mark),' he wrote.
The footage generated some interesting comments online with many agreeing that what the family witnessed appeared to be extremely unusual.
The video is the most recent in a long line of mysterious drone sightings that have been reported flying over New Jersey and across the eastern U.S., sparking speculation and concern over where they came from and why.
'You can see it didn't just disappear but took off with incredible speed, there's a small flash of light to the left as it leaves. Humans can't produce the energy required to go that fast, especially from standstill,' wrote one.
Yeah this is appears to be another genuine one. Exactly what I filmed in the UK. The light dims and moves off left and upwards.
If you want me to frame by frame enhance send me the original. I've got a lot of experience doing this analysis for my own sighting,' added another interested observer.
'Send this to some proper Professors. They can make the math if it's moved at all and just freeze in time while the Earth keeps moving.
I have a feeling they are just traveling back in time and keep recharging their batteries here on our Nuclear Energy and travel further back,' suggested a third.
'Note: it didn't vanish, it took off at impossibly high speed diagonally up and to the left of frame (about 10 o'clock angle). Using your own logic, we shouldn't believe this video,' added a fourth.
'This is exactly how the orb I saw flew away. That's why I said nothing can move like that. No flight system we have right now can go from stationary to warp drive in an instant.
These flight characteristics are… Well beyond light years beyond us,' said another, transfixed.

Illuminated Triangular UFO Filmed in Brazil
December 23, 2024
An intriguing piece of footage out of Brazil shows a strange illuminated triangular UFO floating over a city and some suspect that the eerie anomaly could be some kind of secret craft.
The remarkable video was reportedly filmed last week by a witness at a park in the city of Curitiba. In the footage, seen above, the UFO initially appears to be a large glowing ball of light.
However, when the witness zooms in on the oddity, one can see that it is comprised of five lights in a triangular formation with what seems to be a sizeable illumination at the center, though that may be a star that happens to be positioned behind the anomalous cluster of lights.
Since being posted online, the video of the curious object over Curitiba has spawned considerable speculation among UFO enthusiasts as to its nature.
While some have proposed that it was alien in nature, others argue that the triangular craft could be the apocryphal secret spy craft dubbed TR-3B.
More prosaic explanations put forward by people online is that the UFO may have been a drone, which is undoubtedly in keeping with the current climate of unknown objects seen over American airspace these past few weeks, or simply an airliner mistaken for something otherworldly.
With that in mind, what do you make of the footage from Brazil? Weigh in with your thoughts at the C2C Facebook page.
