In 1987, the United States Supreme Court invalidated as unconstitutional a Houston Texas ordinance that said “It shall be unlawful for any person to assault, strike or in any manner oppose, molest, abuse or interrupt any policeman in the execution of his duty, or any person summoned to aid in making an arrest.” The reason? Your constitutional rights can not be interference/obstruction. Free speech can not be interference/obstruction. As the court said “freedom of individuals verbally to oppose or challenge police action without thereby risking arrest is one of the principal characteristics by which we distinguish a free nation from a police state.”
So with that in mind, can anyone explain why there's a new video about every day of someone being harassed doing something not only legal but constitutionally protected and then arrested for interference/obstruction when they argue with the cop? It's happening all over the country.
In this video, a man looks in/records a cop car parked on the street while the cop is pretty far away. This is absolutely legal and well established as legal. The cop comes over butthurt and ends up arresting the guy for interference because he argues. The cop is a domestic terrorist violating clearly established rights but does anyone care?
We 100% live in a police state.
