The H-1B “war” of 2024 is destined to go down in social media history. It’s equal parts productive and chaotic, with pro-foreign worker advocates like Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy squaring off against America First MAGA forces. Ultimately, this debate is a healthy exercise for the America First movement, airing its internal conflicts—especially before Trump’s anticipated return to the White House.
That said, we shouldn’t throw the baby out with the bathwater. Vivek and Elon don’t need to be thrown to the wolves over this issue. Sure, they could use a crash course in America First principles, but they also deserve the opportunity to get creative and course-correct. A good starting point? Taking a hard look at the system they support and acknowledging just how disastrous it really is.
Honestly, we’re dealing with a system so broken it’s beyond repair—especially the so-called “lotto” system at the heart of the entire H-1B scheme. Calling it “rigged” would actually be a compliment.

Congress created H-1B in 1990 to help American businesses get the world’s top talent.Instead, outsourcing and staffing firms flooded the system.
They bring in lower-level workers and pay lower wages.They game the lottery to gain unfair advantages.
Say you’re a regular American business that wants to hire a foreign graduate from a top US university. You would lose the candidate to lottery most (70%) of the time. That’s what happened to Sandeep Maganti, a talented engineer from India who founded his own startup.
An outsourcing firm, however, can draw from its vast workforce in India andput in 3X number of tickets. It doesn’t care who gets selected as long as somebody getsselected. @USCIS rules require a “legitimate job offer” for each lottery entry, but don’t require any proof.
We then identified 3000+ IT staffing firms, often called Body Shops or Desi Consultancies. Many cheated on a massive scale to submit multiple entriesfor the same candidates. The government called it fraud.Yet there’s little consequence. Many kept winning new visas this year.
One group of staffing firmsentered each candidate as many as 15 times. The government flagged them in a damning report last year but didn’t name the companies. We matched details in their data to reveal the owner behind them. @USCIS says it cannot sanction companies.
This April, @USCIS changed lottery rules to remove the incentives for multi-reg.But that’s only part of the problem. Staffing firms continue to flood the lottery with dubious entries. Even among their single-reg candidates, staffers fail to file a petition half of the time.

A big shot employment attorney in California called me last night re:H1B visa fraud / trafficking of workers. Here’s what she said:
The market is cornered by visa body shops who apply for ~50% of the visas.
The economics of it: Thesebody shops are headed by former hiring managers from Big Tech companies=. They bring people to America, rent apartments for them, and house about 10 together in one apartment.
=They put these recipients through a ~4 week bootcamp of basic tech training, fraudulently rewrite their resumes, teach them how to interview.
The body shopsland them jobs, primarily at the companies these hiring managers came from, and pay the workers less than half of the money in hand.
Ex. Job is listed as a $200k salary, but the company is contracted with the body shop not the H1B worker, andthe worker is actually paid closer to $40 an hour.
The body shops pocket most of the money and are making millions by essentially trafficking people.

These workers started their careers in a very different America: one with a higher-quality working class, which felt far less shame about hiring based on knowledge and ability, even if it produced a workforce that was “too white” or “too male” or too anything. Now, they are passing the baton to a population with different skills and very different values. Is anybody confident we’ll be able to manage the handoff?
Early signs aren’t promising. When Colonial Pipeline suffered a major outage due to a cyberattack, the company’s CEO had to admit that the company was essentially incapable of operating its pipelines manually, not because it was impossible but because everyone with the knowledge to do so was retired or dead.

Ukrainian museum defaces war memorial (IMAGES)
Officials claim to have deconstructed a “myth” by scrapping the names of ‘hero cities’ honored for their fight against Nazis
A Ukrainian World War II museum has defaced memorials to Soviet cities which demonstrated resolve in fighting off Nazi invaders. The move was touted as helping to deconstruct “Communist myths”.
The USSR declared a number of cities heroic for the role that their residents played in the fight against the Axis powers. Kiev was one of the recipients of this honor and has a memorial alley in which each city was given a granite stone marked with its name and a bas-relief of the gold star of the hero of the Soviet Union award – the highest state decoration at the time.
On Friday, the national War Museum in Kiev, which has custody of the alley, reported taking “a very important symbolic step” in removing all letters and images from the stones. The names of all of these locations, including Kiev and others located in modern Ukraine, were scrapped, judging by a video from the scene.
Calling cities heroic was “one of the foundational myths of the totalitarian Soviet regime” it claimed, despite the honorific being restored in 2022 and bestowed upon cities for the role they have played in the ongoing conflict with Russia.
In August 2023,Ukrainian officials had the Soviet coat of arms removed from the iconic Motherland Monument, a World War II memorial in Kiev. It was replaced with Ukraine’s current national symbol, the trident.
Kiev declared “decommunisation” a priority policy after the Western-backed armed coup in Kiev in 2014. In practice, officials are targeting Russian cultural heritage, including sites from the period predating the USSR. In early December, the city council of Odessa announced a decision to remove a bust of the poet Alexander Pushkin, a UNESCO-protected piece of art built in the 1880s.
The War Museum’s goal is to revise the history of World War II, Director Yury Savchuk said last month on the occasion of the institution’s 50th anniversary. It wants to create a permanent exhibition “telling about the centuries of the Ukrainian fight for independence” – primarily during the two world wars, he said.
Western Ukrainian nationalist forces allied with the Nazis during World War II expected the Third Reich to help them create a Ukrainian state. In practice, the Germans used them as auxiliary occupational forces, including to perpetrate massacres of Jews, Poles and Soviet sympathizers in the captured territories. Today, Ukraine honors those people as freedom fighters and national heroes.
In an interview this week, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called the Ukrainian policies since 2014 “absolutely racist” and aimed at the full eradication of anything Russian, including the language. The discrimination is one of the core causes of the ongoing military conflict between the two nations, he said.

The evil thing about this is. Without the Russians we wouldn't have won WWII against the Nazis, and the sacrificed at least 25 million of their citizens to win the war. The last battles were in Ukraine and nearby countries. Ukraine would not exist today as a free countries, because Nazis hated Ukrainians even though many Ukraine citizens turned Nazi and killed their own people with the from the Nazis from Germany.
The disrespect of war heros, destroying the monuments, etc. Is beyond reality. Being Satanic they hate Christianity and any symbolism of sacrifice in the war. US and UK planning terrorist attacks on Russian bases in Syria – intel
Washington and London aim to use Islamic State fighters to carry out the assaults, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) has said
The US and UK are planning terrorist attacks on Russian bases in Syria in order to prevent the situation in the country from stabilizing, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) has said.
Since the fall of Syrian President Bashar Assad’s government earlier this month, Washington and London have set agoal of “maintaining chaos in the Middle East” in order to achieve a lasting dominance over the region, the agency said in a statement on Saturday.
However, Russia’s military presence on the Mediterranean coast of Syria, which still serves as a significant factor in regional stability, has been hampering the realization of their plans, it stressed.
“In order to remove this ‘obstacle,’ British intelligence services are developing plans to organize a series of terrorist attacks on Russian military facilities in Syria,” the SVR said.
The role of the perpetrators of those assaults will be assigned to the fighters of Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL), who were released from prisons after the regime change in the country, it added.
“According to available information, representatives of the British intelligence service MI6 and the America’s CIA recently tasked Syria-based IS commanders under their control with carrying out a series of attacks on Russian military bases. To do out this dirty work, the terrorists received attack UAVs,” the statement read.
In order to cover up their involvement in the planned Islamic State attacks on Russian bases, the US and UK military commands have instructed their air forces to continue to carry out strikes on IS positions in Syria, the SVR claimed.
The terrorists are being warned about those airstrikes in advance, it added. “London and Washington hope that such provocations will prompt Russia to evacuate its troops from Syria. At the same time, the new Syrian authorities will be accused of being unable to control the radicals,” the statement read.
Russia had been an ally of Assad’s government, helping Syria to fight terrorism since 2015. In 2017, Moscow and Damascus signed a deal for a 49-year lease by the Russian military of the Tartus naval base and the Khmeimim airbase in the east of the country.
During his end-of-year press conference last week, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that “an overwhelming majority” within the group now controlling the situation in Syria “have expressed an interest in retaining our military bases.”
The Tartus and Khmeimim facilities are currently being used to deliver much-needed humanitarian aid to the country, he added. The issue of maintaining a Russian military presence in Syria requires “careful consideration,” Putin stressed. “We must reflect on how our relations will evolve with the political forces currently in control and those that will govern this country in the future.”

Ukrainian music speaker bomb plot foiled – FSB
The suspect reportedly planned to kill a military blogger and a high-ranking military officer
Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) announced on Saturday it had thwarted a Ukrainian plot to assassinate a prominent military blogger and a high-ranking Russian officer using an improvised explosive device (IED) disguised as a portable music speaker.
The suspect, identified as a Russian citizen, was allegedly recruited by Ukraine’s military intelligence agency (HUR) through social media. According to the FSB, Ukrainian operatives contacted the man via a messaging app after monitoring his public comments online.
He claimed Ukraine provided him with the bomb, which was stashed in a hidden cache. The initial plan, according to investigators, was to target a blogger covering the Ukraine conflict by planting the IED under their car or near the gate of their home. However, the suspect reportedly fell ill, causing the plan to be postponed.
Later, the Ukrainians allegedly redirected him to assassinate a senior Russian military officer. The FSB said the suspect was apprehended while stalking the new target.
The explosive device, estimated to have the power of 1.5 kilograms of TNT, was fitted with ball bearings for added lethality and designed to attach magnetically to surfaces. Images released by the FSB show the bomb disguised as a portable speaker. Russian law enforcement used a robotic system to safely recover and dismantle it.
The FSB has linked the plot to a broader campaign of assassination attempts it claims are orchestrated by Ukrainian intelligence. Earlier in the week, the agency reported foiling additional attacks, including one involving a bomb disguised as an award meant for a Russian activist.
This month, a high-profile bombing in Russia killed General Igor Kirillov and his aide. Investigators allege that the explosive, concealed inside an e-scooter handle, was remotely detonated by Ukrainian agents as the officers walked past.
The FSB said its operations have disrupted ongoing threats but emphasized that Ukraine’s intelligence services areactively targeting Russian figures. Ukraine has not commented on the claims.
