The tech companies use "ghost jobs" or job postings to pretend they're looking for American workers. In actuality, these are just a thin veneer. They already decided they want H-1B migrants, who are more loyal to the company since if they lose their employer, they'll be deported.

Actual American citizens apply to these jobs only to get the run-around, sometimes the company will even stage fake interviews pretending to examine the job candidate. The job, if it even exists, is going to an Indian.
