New NYPD commissioner 'fires' dozens of top cops after ex-chief was accused of trading overtime for sex

Dozens of top New York Police Department cops have been ousted a week after their former chief was accused of trading sexual favors for overtime.

Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch has weeded out several top brass at the Internal Affairs bureau, including Deputy Chief Chris Morello, the New York Post reports.

It comes after explosive allegations emerged about Chief Jeffrey Maddrey made by his subordinate Lieutenant Quathisha Epps, who accused him of predatory sexual behavior.

Chief of Internal Affairs Miguel Iglesias was ejected on the same day the expose dropped.

But documents reviewed by the Post further reveal that Inspector Joseph Profeta, who was head of IAB's group dedicated to investigating allegations against NYPD captains and above, was relocated to Patrol Borough Brooklyn North.

Meanwhile IAB Special Opps Inspector Michael Ricciardi has been packed off to Patrol Borough Manhattan North.

Another 12 IAB officers ranging in rank from lieutenants to sergeants were also sent to distant patrol areas.

Five detectives within Maddrey's office and a police officer were pushed out from Maddrey's office and sent to walk the beat in housing projects, according to the orders.
