Like appropriate immigration reform, and helping people understand why we need a metered, vetted flow. Sadly America was literally built on the backs of immigrants, some who didn't want to be here: Blacks, Asians, you name it. And we still rely on cheap labor so we can have our disposable society. We are still taking advantage of people and we need to address that. Cheap housing, the American Home ownership dream will not be as attainable, for instance if we do not find a way to allow some migrant workers in. Food does rot in the field. I do not know how many of you who can say they know how it feels to pick tomatoes or watermelons all summer, but I can. People want cheap shit so their pay goes farther, but not enough Americans want to do that work. They are conditioned to think they all need to be white collar consumers. Then when you try to tell American we all need ditch diggers and to go be one we are accused of being Socialists.
We need to get this shit figured out and right fucking now and move on.
Our system has been fucked thanks to greed for a long time. We all want and like money for its use. It is a tool. Some like and want it too much. Balancing the drive to be and have more against avarice and greed is hard. I am not trying to only point out flaws. I have spent too long as the problem solver and acting on my fixes. That is why I am here. Its too easy to slide this in esoteric ways, and I feel Trump, gilded in gold and all, understands the balance. I have no doubt that if he lost every fucking penny, he would climb back up because he is actually a positive person and a problem solver. We need that in America. We have focused and been trained to focus on waaaah, problems, someone fix it for me… for too long.
