Governor Gretzy is a good idea eh.
Yeah. That was the best one so far so I went with it.
You know, King was my favorite author since being a teenager. Was. Read "Salem's Lot" when I was 11 or 12. After finding out about him through here and the TDS he's displayed I can't exactly say he's my favorite author anymore or someone to think highly of at all and it's kind of embarrassing to think about how I used to consider him.
Now that I'm going through my 2nd Clancy novel, I finally get it why that guy was so popular. Only read Red October in high school and that was just because the movie came out. Never had much interest in the genre that Clancy wrote. I had a moment last night when I put "Without Remorse" down (only 3 chapters left!) and wondered if my life would have been different had I chosen Tom Clancy as a favorite author decades ago rather than the disappointment that I unfortunately chose. May have not been interested in the genre he writes back then, but I sure as fuck can't stop reading it now.
Roger that. Heard of all three but never read any of their stuff. I'll check 'em out after I burn through the 9 books I've already lined up to be knocked down.
My only complaint about the plot is an original SEAL falling in love with a drug addicted prostitute and then launching into a John Wick-esque revenge vendetta after only 3 weeks? Mind you, they did try to kill him too.
The pressure chamber scene awed me. Had to stop reading for about an hour to think about what I read. That was one of the most brutal things in fiction that I've ever read.
Huh. They made a movie out of it, direct to streaming platforms during the "pandemic." Didn't know that until now. Looks like they may have given it a modern woke treatment, but I have nothing against the actor they went with, have actually liked every role I've seen him in.
Red stained lips.
All I gotta say is if I meet a drug addicted prostitute then she better have a golden blowjob for me to go all John Wick after only knowing her for three weeks.
Waitโฆ Ludlum wrote the Bourne series? Holy fuck I'll definitely be checking his stuff out, really enjoyed the movies but the camera shaking in the action scenes made the screen blurry in the theaters back then. Looking like the queue in 2025 is going to be all political thrillers rather than the typical sci-fi/fantasy that it's usually filled with.
