JeJu Korean Air Crash Update #2:
At 0859 the pilots called a MAYDAY and initiated a go-around retracting the gear and flaps and requested a visual to RW 19. They began maneuvering to the left slightly the ADSB stopped transcending indicating a loss of electrical power to one of the electrical busses. If they had started the APU to cover the unpowered Bus it would have taken 2-3 minutes for the APU to reach operating speed. By they they were already on final. At 0901 they were cleared to land and they were already over the Runway crashing into the berm at 0902. They APU would not have been available in the time they had. If birds took out the right engine generator and the left engine had a Fire Warning they could have been responding to a left engine severe damage situation and pulled the Fire Handle to shut down that engine. The Transponder loss could have been from a right engine generator failure which would explain the no flap condition. Additionally, as previously mentioned, If the landing gear handle was left in the up position from the go-around and was no placed in OFF per the After takeoff checklist, the manual gear extension would not work as residual hydraulic pressure needs to be removed from the gear before alternate extension cables can be pulled.
