lithium battery= heavy metal
HEAT/FUEL(the item that burns- not talking about gasoline here)/OXYGEN are needed in certain quantities to have a fire. Remove one of them , or reduce one of them, and the fire goes out. This is why a match will not start a tree on fire. The match is not hot enough. But, a match will start a dry leaf on fire. The correct ratio of H/F/O are needed to start/maintain the fire. Placing A lid on a frying pan fire removes the oxygen and fire goes out.
Heavy metal fires are notoriouslyHOT. Class D fire takesMEGAquantities of water to extinguish. The reason for this is that the intensity of the heat separates the H2O into hydrogen and oxygen- which are two components of the HEAT/FUEL/OXYGEN triad that creates fire. Class D fires burn EVEN HOTTER when you add water to them, hence the massive quantities of water needed to cool the fire (remove the heat component)
