When I was 17 I was painfully aware that I didn't know shit about anything that mattered and there was no one there to guide me.

>the classic authors and painters were always there
It is likely true that there were, but even if I knew of them (and I did actually know of some of them), I didn't know that they were the ones who knew the right stuff.
>Anon has pondered the question of whether bad driving decisions equate to suicide.
There were times when I pondered whether I should just swerve my car into an oncoming truck.
Like I could really just do it in the next few minutes.
But that could actually be murder.
And no matter how much of a screwup I am, I don't have the right to kill others.
So I didn't do that.
>Knock this stupid shit off, already!
>Rap even sucked when the niggers did it.
Expand your horizons.

I like Chopin but lyrics are nice.
I am not actually a rap "fanboy".
There are some "rappers" both white and black who I think really bring it musically.
Others pretty much suck, but that's how it is with modern music.
I am not really a music "expert" but I think some do innovative stuff with lyrics and style and mixing lyrics with musicality.
