Joan Collins was inspired by Donald Trump

While she has not outed herself as a Trump supporter before, Collins has previously shared how the president-elect was an 'inspiration' for her.

She told the Jonathan Ross show in 2017 that Trump was the basis for her character Alexis Carrington from hit show Dynasty.

'I actually wrote about it years and years ago, that one of the people mentioned was Donald Trump,' she said.

Collins said she was drawn to Trump 'because he was a very harsh, tough, clever, devious and manipulative.'
