Why are the above [public declassified docs] highly protected?

Q

Why?- because they show that:

1) DCI William Colby admits in 1973 to employing Journalists as undercover CIA operatives, that the practice was written about by journalist Oswald Johnston in 1973.

2) In 1976 Senator Mark Hatfield met with GHWB acting DCI who assured him it would not happen again.

3) GHWB who was DCI for less than a full year seems to have one of his primary missions of re-implementing the use of Journalists and clergy as CIA spies with wiggle language that would allow him to insert agents as journalists rather than try to hire legitimate journalists as agents—cool trick.

Poppy was there for less than a full year and left Stansfield Turner in charge to shift blame to previous administrations using the cover that it was policy of previous administrations and at the same time assuring congressman Fauntroy in a 1977 letter that there are no US Journalists employed by the CIA..

The hearings referenced in the second Q doc above from 1996 clearly deal with the continued practice and the question of legality—what is interesting is that Ted Koppel argues that if the CIA wants to break the law under extreme circumstances they should have to have the President’s approval.

Did Jugears sanction the spy operation on DJT during the campaign and after the election?
