Jill Biden Was Recently Gifted a $20,000 Diamond by a Foreign Government.
According to the State Department’s annual report on gifts received by U.S. government officials from foreign leaders, First Lady Jill Biden received a 7.5-carat diamond valued at $20,000 from India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi last year. The report details a number of valuable items given to President Joe Biden and his family, as well as Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) employees. However, the First Lady’s diamond is by far the most expensive gift for the year.
Other items received by the First Lady and detailed in the report include a $14,063 brooch gifted by the Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States, as well as a bracelet and brooch valued at $4,510 given to her by Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and his wife, Entissar Amer. Federal regulations require these gifts exceeding $480 in value to be declared, with most going to the National Archives or displayed officially.

Five Absurd Examples Of Government Waste In 2024
The government spends money on some of the craziest things.
1) Tax Dollars for…Pickleball?
The Department of the Interior is apparently investing in pickleball. Specifically, it recently provided a $12 million grant for a 30-court pickleball complex in Las Vegas.
Pickleball players in Vegas clearly benefit from this initiative. But is it really fair to force taxpayers in Connecticut to pay for sports complexes in Nevada?
Bastiat’s famous comment comes to mind: “Government is that great fiction by which everyone tries to live at the expense of everyone else.”
2) Ghost Towns on the Government’s Dime
One of the surprisingly large sources of government waste is money spent on maintaining empty or largely-empty government buildings. Senator Paul cites a recent Government Accountability Office (GAO) report that identified nearly $10 billion in federal funds wasted on empty office space.
“Most federal offices are ghost towns, with 17 out of 24 agencies using only 25% or less of their space in 2023,” Paul notes. “Even the busiest offices barely reach 50% capacity…The GAO calculated building capacity based on usable square feet per employee. It found that many of these buildings are just oversized, expensive storage units for empty desks.”
3) Promoting DEI Among Bird Watchers
The National Science Foundation (NSF) recently spent close to $300,000 on what seems to be a DEI initiative for bird-watching groups.
“In yet another shining example of wasteful government spending, the National Science Foundation has decided that the world of bird watching needs a dose of diversity, equity, and inclusion,” Paul writes. “To that end, they’ve approved a grant of $288,563 to create ‘affinity groups’ within ornithological societies—basically, birdwatching clubs—based on identity characteristics…The goal, they say, is to ensure that birdwatching communities are more ‘inclusive.’”
Regardless of where you stand on DEI, this kind of spending should raise a red flag on fiscal responsibility grounds alone. Surely there are more pressing needs than this? (Do the birds care about the gender identity of the people watching them?)
4) Advancing Fertilizer Use in Foreign Countries
The tragically misnamed United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is spending money on, well, not only the United States. The 2024 Festivus Report highlights that the USDA is spending $20 million on the Fertilize Right initiative “to advance fertilizer use in Pakistan, Vietnam, Colombia, and Brazil.”
This was one of a number of items in the Report that involved American taxpayer dollars going to foreign countries.
5) Money for Circus Performances
The 2024 Festivus Report highlights $365,000 that has been spent by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) to promote circuses in city parks. Paul quotes the late David Boaz in his comments on this story: “Government funding of anything means government control. As we should not want an established church, so we should not want established art.”

Israel To Surge Funding For Global Influence Operations
Tel Aviv is planning to increase its funding for global propaganda efforts by 20 times. The surge in spending comes as Israel’s public image is sagging around the world over the onslaught in Gaza.
A new budget for the Israeli Foreign Ministry includes $150 million for what Israel calls “Hasbara,” or consciousness warfare. According to the Times of Israel, the new budget is a 20-fold increase from the previous spending level.
The images, videos, and reports from Gaza detailing the horrors experienced by innocent civilians have driven global protests against Tel Aviv. In the US, Tel Aviv’s most crucial supporter, Israel’s favorability has plummeted.
The new spending on Hasbara is the result of a demand by newly appointed Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar. Sa’ar secured the appointment from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who was looking to maintain his hold on power as he battles multiple corruption charges.
According to the Israeli outlet Maariv, “The program will include, among other things, research activity and public relations firms, social networks, campaign management, conferences and events, bringing delegations of public opinion leaders to Israel, activity on campuses around the world, and political-legal activity.”
American college campuses were the main hotspot driving the debate in the US about the Israeli destruction of Gaza in the Spring of 2024. University presidents received significant pushback from Washington over the protests, and the Palestinian solidarity movement was largely absent from campuses in the fall semester.
“Israel’s hasbara [public diplomacy] efforts and consciousness warfare have for decades not received the critical and life-saving resources and tools they require,” Sa’ar said. “I am determined to make a change. Every shekel devoted to this cause is an investment, not an expense, and will strengthen Israel and its standing in the world.”
The Forward notes that Sa’ar said, “that [the ministry’s] activity will be carried out in cooperation with American Jewish groups and alongside similar efforts by the Diaspora Affairs Ministry.”
Israeli officials have admitted that without US support, it would have to cease its military activities in Gaza after just a few months. Ensuring that Americans’ attitudes towards Israel do not continue to deteriorate could be critical to maintaining Washington’s support in the long-term.
One source speaking with Jewish Insider said Sa’ar is holding meetings with leaders of Israeli NGOs and cultural figures to develop his public relations campaign. According to the source, during the meeting, it became clear that Sa’ar “wants to make the Foreign Ministry more right-wing.”

Israeli attacks included a strike on a tent camp in al-Mawasi, a so-called “safe zone” in southern Gaza that has come under repeated bombings. The attack killed at least 12 Palestinians, including several children and the head of Gaza’s now-defunct police force.
Waleed al-Bardaweel, a survivor of the attack, lost three of his sons in the attack: Mohammed, 13, Ahmed, 11, and Abdul Rahman, seven. “The Israeli army called this place a safe zone. Their claims are all lies and slander,” al-Bardaweel told Middle East Eye.
Ziad al-Lulu, another survivor of the attack, told MEE the tent camp was hit at 1 am without any warning. “The next thing we knew, our world was engulfed in flames. Children were torn apart, women were torn apart, it was like the day of judgment,” al-Lulu said.
Gaza’s Government Media Office said the attack also killed Maj. Gen. Mahmoud Salah, director general of police in Gaza, and Maj. Gen. Hussam Shahwan, another police official. Israel’s targeting of Gaza’s police force has impeded aid deliveries, making them vulnerable to looting from armed gangs, which Israel has been allowing to happen.

Israeli army bombs Damascus outskirts, seizes control of Syrian water sources

The Israeli air force launched a violent attack near the Syrian capital of Damascus on 2 January, coming as Israel’s military continues to expand its occupation in the country, reaching a key dam in the southern Quneitra area.
Syrian media outlets reported that powerful explosions rocked the capital’s western countryside and that the target was the Tal al-Shahem military site overlooking Quneitra, Damascus, and its countryside.
“This site is considered one of the most important military centers of the Syrian army in the southern Damascus countryside. It contains military communications centers and radars, in addition to being an important site for missiles and anti-tank weapons,” Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in Syria said.
The Israeli army stated on Thursday that elite troops recently raided and destroyed an underground Iranian missile facility west of Hama.
Israel has launched hundreds of heavy airstrikes targeting the majority of the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) military infrastructure across Syria since former president Bashar al-Assad’s government fell to extremist groups on 8 December.
Billions of dollars worth of weapons and ammunition have reportedly been taken out in the ongoing campaign.
The Israeli army also continues to expand its occupation across southern Syria.
Al Mayadeen reported on 2 January that Israeli troops have now reached the Al-Mantara Dam in the Quneitra countryside, the largest dam in southern Syria, adding that Israel has seized control of the six most strategic bodies of water in the south.
Israel's recent expansion in Syria, which began immediately after the fall of the Assad government, has seen invading troops seize precious water sources such as the Al-Wahda Dam on the Yarmouk River Basin and others. Syrian and Israeli sources, as well as Carmel News citing an Iranian source, reported last month that Israel now controls 30 percent of Syria's water supply and 40 percent of Jordan's.
“The occupation's control over the Al-Wahda Dam, which is located on the Jordanian border, is a threat to Jordan, because it was the biggest beneficiary of this dam,” Al Mayadeen’s correspondent said on Thursday.

US in talks with Taliban* to open US military base in Afghanistan
On January 1, 2025, a delegation from the General Intelligence Directorate (GID) of the Afghan Taliban* traveled to Doha, the capital of Qatar. According to sources, secret talks will be held there tomorrow. The meeting is planned to discuss the situation on the Afghan-Pakistani border, where an armed conflict between the Pakistani army and Taliban forces continues. In addition, the parties will touch upon issues related to the implementation of the Doha Agreement, signed in February 2020.
According to the secret part of this agreement, the United States agreed to transfer the so-called “Durand Line” (in fact, the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan) under the control of Kabul, and in exchange receive the right to create a military base on the territory of Afghanistan.
With Donald Trump returning to the White House in January 2025, the US intends to seek full implementation of the terms of the agreement. The opening of a US military base in Afghanistan is becoming increasingly likely.
The Taliban's* refusal to implement this point of the agreement could be seen as a breakdown of the agreement, which would lead to serious consequences, including the cessation of funding from the United States.
According to sources, tomorrow's meeting in Doha will be the beginning of a discussion of practical steps to establish an American base. It is possible that representatives of Trump's team will take part in the talks to speed up the implementation of the agreements.

Increase in diseases from malnutrition. Closed soup kitchens and access to food. Labor participation rate is only 48% skewing unemployment. Inflation in Argentina was primarily a result of printing money and building debt. Now Milei is asking the IMF for an additional $44 billion loan, building more debt…
Argentina’s IMF debt is the largest of any country at over $31 billion prior to the request of an additional $44 billion. According to the IMF, Argentina has made zero payments on its debt. For reference, the second largest holder of debt is Egypt at $8 billion. When Argentina defaulted on its debt in 2023, Qatar and China came to the rescue. Other private debt holders include BlackRock, Pimco, Fidelity, The Paris Club and JP Morgan.
Total outstanding debt for Argentina is $442 billion and expected to continue to rise. The two top investors in Argentina’s newly privatized businesses is China and the US. Selling off its resources to a barrage of countries (Netherlands, Spain, Brazil, Switzerland, UK, France, Uruguay, etc…) has left the country with little foot room. But leaves one understanding why a failed economy being made worse might be the point – for investors to gobble up whatever is left.
Milei claims to be an economist – “Since 2012, Milei leads the division of Economic Studies, Fundación Acordar, a think tank of national scope. According to its LinkedIn and Facebook accounts, Fundacion had 1.5 employees and closed in 2014. Milei is an advisor at the WEF. His first meeting after winning the ‘true and fair’ election was with Bill Clinton, John Kirby and Chriss Dodd. In 2019, he identified as a Marxist which was wiped from his bio. Milei is like a Lindsey Graham – he floats wherever he is told.
Unemployment. Roughly 64% of Argentina’s population is employable 15-65 years of age. The total population is 46.65 million. Employable persons would thus be measured as 29.86 million. Yet the number hailed as a great success for employment is 13.3 million which is claimed to be leave an unemployment rate of 6.7%. This is the same tactic utilized in the Biden Regime Players. Thus the true unemployment rate is over 50%.
Anarcho-Capitalist Libertarian: An anarch-capitalist believes that there should be no government. Rights and offenses would be litigated via private institutions acting in the capacity of government. While Milei claims to have 2 Masters, the timeline provided is somewhat OFF center. He claimed to be ‘senior economist at HSBC – but HSBC does not use the term Senior, it uses the term Chief. No mention of Milei. Despite no evidence Milei attended college or worked in a role as an Economist, he has self-described himself as an Anarcho-capitalist Libertarian.
The economic philosophy of anarcho capitalism was created by Murray Rothbard whose parents were Jewish Bolshevik communists. While his philosophy has never been put in practice, Argentina would appear to be a test ground albeit from a deep state premise of the World Economic Forum’s ideology.
A member of the Mount Pelerin Society, Rothbard seemed to venture into a multitude of directions on unsure footing, ultimately settling as a self- described atheist paleolibertarian. Mount Pelerin is ‘open society’. I would venture that Milei is more Pelerin than Mises – he supports Ukraine and Israel.
Theories over Milei’s name being a shortened version of Mileikovsky have abounded. Milei claims his paternal grandfather was a rabbi which is why he converted to Judaism shortly after the election, went to Israel and called for the Third Temple to be built. The Third Temple is a temple of ‘abominations’. It is not mentioned in the Christian Bible. Mileikowsky was Bibi Netanyahu’s birth name. Rabbi Nathan Mileikowsky was Bibi’s grandfather. When searching Rabbi Nathans ancestry.com – I was blocked – “ACCESS DENIED”.
The fact that the internet has scrubbed Milei prior to his election debut, the fact that he disguises himself with wigs and ostensibly a nose job, does not bode favorably.
