yes, I agree, piano is taught wrong. I think that peole have a need to pretend to be so gifted and want to lord over others with their keyboard talents. But if you learn how to play the keyboards by studying experts you get to a part where it's easy and fun.
you might not be able to sight read Bethoven and play it at first glance (or even sight read at all) but you can make good sounding music and have a lot of fun!
