FBI Releases Video of NOLA Terrorist Wearing Meta Glasses, Planting IED-Filled Coolers Across the French Quarter
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has released surveillance footage showing Shamsud-Din Jabbar, the perpetrator of the New Year’s Day attack in New Orleans, planting improvised explosive devices (IEDs) concealed in coolers throughout the French Quarter.
Jabbar was also wearing Meta-branded smart glasses, which he used to scout out the location during prior visits to the city.
Jabbar, a 42-year-old U.S. Army veteran from Houston, conducted the attack by driving a rented Ford F-150 Lightning EV truck into a crowd on Bourbon Street, resulting in 14 fatalities and 35 injuries.
Before the vehicular assault, he strategically placed two homemade bombs along Bourbon Street, intending to detonate them remotely.

Police investigating a suspicious package just five miles outside of the Capitol in Washington, DC discovered it was non-threatening fireworks.
The Metropolitan Police Department confirmed to DailyMail that members of the Explosive Ordinance Disposal were called to investigate the item on the 5000 block of Hayes St. NE at 2:15 p.m. on Sunday.
That portion of the road was closed off while crews from the bomb squad investigated the package.
‘The investigation has concluded and revealed that the package was fireworks. There are currently traffic closures in place but will be lifted shortly,' said an MPD spokesperson.
Police are putting up extra security around the U.S Capitol building ahead of Monday's certification of the 2024 Presidential Election in congress.
