It was hilarious to me, back in the heydays of gaming, when I ended up finding myself ranked as the best in the world. I didn't even try to get there. I just enjoyed the game and dedicated myself to legit play, and everything else followed. So many people tried to cheat their way to the top, but what it actually required was NOT cheating.
Hilarious.
The way I like to say it is that the real world has an infinite depth, but lies don't lead to anything. So long as you remain dedicated to the pursuit of truth you can overcome any obstacle, but the instant you embrace a lie knowingly your growth ends there, and you must keep abandoning opportunities for growth in order to maintain the lie.
