1) There are a ton of different strains that contain complex variations of alkaloids - anyone interested in trying it should start with a vendor that offers a variety pack so you know which strains work best for you.

2) When starting out be sure to invest in a scale and begin at .25 grams and work up over time to an amount that is the sweet spot for you.

3) Everyone has a different chemistry so it will effect individuals in different ways (just like alcohol and cannibis do as well). You very well may be "allergic" although early evidence seems to indicate this is relatively rare.

(Very) generally speaking, the color guidelines are as follows:

RED - called slow strain - typically used by people with pain conditions and those that wish to mellow out from stress

GREEN - called medium strain - has the effects of caffeine - used by people that need a kick-start to an activity aka malaise type conditions

WHITE - called fast strain - similar to Green but more speedy so to speak

YELLOW - called euphoric strain - this is the rarest of available strains but used for people (particularly those trying to kick opiates/pharma chemicals) to best replicate the feelz for people with depression issues.

Bottom line: Be responsible, have a conservative start plan, and sample different ones to find the strains that best fit you as an individual.

Very helpful for pain. Particularly the Red/Yellow ones. Way better than Big Pharma chemicals. Much safer, too, but like all things can be abused and cause issues. However, start by sampling in small doses and you'll be fine.

The big usual suspect testing labs have not included it in their assays to date. However, it's a fluid environment so do your research to keep up with new developments.
