🚨UPDATE: The LA Palisades fire has now passed 3000 acres. The Eaton fire 1000 acres. And the Sylmar fire 500 acres. All with 0% containment. Reports say the winds show no signs of slowing down with the worst to come five hours from now. LAFD says the fire originally started in a small backyard, then nature did its thing. Stay safe.

President-elect Donald Trump declared on Tuesday that he would rename the Gulf of Mexico the “Gulf of America.” Trump revealed his vision for rebranding the gulf during a press conference at Mar-a-Lago. (X Video) “We’re going to be changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America,” Trump announced. “The Gulf of America; what a beautiful name, and it’s appropriate,” Trump added. “And Mexico has to stop allowing millions of people to pour into our country.” Trump’s announcement comes as he has recently focused on nearby territories and the U.S.-constructed Panama Canal.

Liberal Media Collapse Continues: Washington

Post Laying Off Dozens of Staffers –

‘Cuts Will be Deep’

The Washington Post lost more than $70 million dollars last year and rather than trying a course correction, they doubled down on woke. One of their cartoonists recently resigned because Jeff Bezos nixed her anti-Trump cartoon that also criticized her own paper. Now the paper is laying off dozens of staffers. It turns out decisions have consequences. Like many other liberal media outlets, the Washington Post has become a captive of their most far left readers. They can’t triangulate politically because they would lose the last group of readers that they have left.

Roughly 30,000 Los Angeles residents — including celebrities — have been ordered to evacuate their homes as a wildfire engulfs the ritzy Pacific Palisades and some have stepped up to help emergency responders clear roads blocked by abandoned vehicles Tuesday. California Gov. Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency after touching down in the area and meeting with first responders fighting the blaze that has torched more than 2,900 acres into Tuesday night, according to CalFire. “By no stretch of the imagination are we out of the woods,” Newsom warned as winds up to 100 mph are expected to increase overnight across the tony enclave — including regions that are “abnormally dry,”

House Passes Laken Riley Act Requiring

ICE to Detain Illegal Immigrants Suspected

of Theft

National Review, by James Lynch

House lawmakers passed legislation Tuesday afternoon requiring federal agents to detain illegal immigrants suspected of committing non-violent crimes, the chamber’s first action of the 119th Congress. The House voted 264-159 to pass the Laken Riley Act, with 48 Democrats joining 216 Republicans in voting for the legislation, which is named after the Georgia nursing student brutally murdered last year by an illegal immigrant. “I’m thankful that the House passed the Laken Riley Act in an overwhelmingly bipartisan manner. No family should have to go through what Laken’s has endured,” said Representative Mike Collins (R., Ga.), who first introduced the legislation last year and represents the area where Riley was murdered.

A Jordanian national, who violated the terms of his admission to the United States, is accused of making a bomb threat to a South Carolina Highway Patrolman after having been pulled over for missing a license plate. Ahmad Jamal Khamees Alhendi, a 28-year-old legal immigrant from Jordan who came to the U.S. in September 2018 but who violated the terms of his admission, has been arrested and charged in Greenville County, South Carolina, for breach of peace, falsely making a bomb threat, and operating an unregistered vehicle. According to investigators, a South Carolina Highway Patrolman pulled over Alhendi on January 2

Biden’s Terrible Legacy: A Tsunami Of

Growth-Killing Regulations

Issues & Insights, by Editorial Board

On Joe Biden’s first day in office, he signed a raft of executive orders, one of which we said was “almost entirely overlooked but could easily end up having the biggest impact.” Turns out we were right. The executive order – “Modernizing Regulatory Review” – would, we predicted, “unleash the regulatory state with a ferocity never before seen in this country.” With this one executive order, Biden shows that he’s intent on giving regulators carte blanche to impose massive new rules on businesses and households, on virtually anything and everything they do, regardless of costs. There’s little else Biden has done so far that will have as wide-ranging an impact.
