Americans, though I love them to bits, have a deep seated need to label things as definitively good or bad. Perhaps it’s a legacy of Westerns and gangster movies. But the world simply resists simple dichotomies.
Kevin Shipp’s recent lecture, which an anon posted a few breads back, makes a compelling case for Mueller’s long standing role within the shadow government protection and clean up crew. And Shipp didn’t even mention 9/11.
Mueller (and Rosenstein) might ultimately end up having served some positive purpose; but to label either of them as /our guy/ is somewhat naïve. Both are behaving according to the long-established shadow government playbook.
Nothing shared here in 9 months makes a different analysis plausible. Indeed, most of the counter arguments amount to little more than fantasy. If it walks like a duck…
