Criminals Flood NYC’s Subway… as Army Troops Give Up
Cash Jordan, a real estate expert in New York City, explains that while Governor Kathy Hochul has deployed 1,000 National Guard troops into New York’s subway system, it is still rife with danger. There have been three disturbing violent incidents within the last 30 days that includes migrant Sebastian Padilla setting Debrina Kawam, 57, on fire while she was sleeping on a stationary train (she is an American who may have been homeless and living in the subway); Kamel Hawkins is charged with pushing a 45-year old man on the tracks in front of a moving train; and a Jamar Banks was arrested for the stabbing of two people in the subway – he had 87 prior arrests, including attempted murder, assault and turnstile jumping.
Crime begins at the entry as most criminals don’t pay the fare and are emboldened to prey on the commuters and commit violent offenses. Progressive leaders are failures who believe law enforcement is toxic and support defunding the police. There was a successful pilot program that was canceled. It involved undercover police stopping fare evaders and searching them for weapons and checking for warrants – nearly half of the fare cheats had active warrants!
