Dividers divide by any means necessary. I'm of a very different opinion about family though. If you love only those who love you what credit is it to you? People like to say blood is thicker than water, but without water blood dries up and dies. A family member can be your greatest stumbling block, while a friend can be the best brother or sister.
The problem I see is so many people have blind loyalty because they're family, while that family member is nothing but a stumbling block and would throw them under the bus in a second.
That's not family, the friend who would die for you is family.
