Yup. Someone tried it and I contributed extensive knowledge of what it takes to make it. I think it was the black pill that killed it.

It's hard and unforgiving work. Over decades. Of poverty. And deprivation. And isolation.

Good news is you can do it, it just takes 40 or 50 years of grueling physical outdoor work and the ability to survive or thrive on scavenged or gleaned crops. And then you still can't retire, because a working subsistence farm is a full time job on top of the full time job you have to have in town to pay the fixed overhead that the farm will NEVER cover. Good luck.
