Melania Trump has accused the Obamas of trying to hijack her husband Donald Trump’s first term in the White House.

The incoming first lady made a”savage dig”(???) while saying she feels more confident of her husband’s fast-approaching second term now Obama is not there to make things difficult.

Melania Trump, 54, sat down with “Fox & Friends” to promote her upcoming documentary set to be released on Amazon Prime later this year.

“The first time was challenging, we didn’t have much of the information,” the incoming first lady told “Fox & Friends” of when her husband was first sworn into office in 2017.

“The information was withheld from us by the previous administration,” she said of Obama.

Despite the tension caused by the apparent lack of communication between the administrations, the 54-year-old said she now understands “the rules” and “process” of being in the White House.

“But this time I have everything… it’s a very different transition this time, second time around,” she continued.

Melania’s remarks come as it was revealed that former first lady Michelle Obama will not be in attendance at Trump’s second inauguration this coming Monday after skipping former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral. (She and all other’s couldn’t care less if Michelle is not there, that’s a pretty iffy connection if that is Melania’s motive for saying this. Plus I heard what she said, and Melania didn’t sound vicious or savage at all.)

While the former first lady’s team did not provide a reason for skipping the inauguration, Michelle Obama has been an impassioned critic of Trump, over the past eight years.

Thursday Confirmation Hearings Schedule: Turner, Zeldin, Burgum and Bessent

Senate confirmation hearings for President Trump cabinet nominations continue today.

10 a.m.: Scott Turner, secretary of housing and urban development. Lee Zeldin, administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency. Doug Burgum, interior secretary. 10:30 a.m.: Scott Bessent, Treasury secretary.

♦ Scott Turner, a former football player who served as a midlevel official in the first Trump administration, has been elevated as Mr. Trump’s pick to lead the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

♦ Former Representative Lee Zeldin of New York previously made an unsuccessful run for governor in the state in 2022. Now he has been tapped by President Trump to carry out his environmental policy and remove excessive climate regulations at the Environmental Protection Agency.

♦ Former North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum made a $1 billion fortune in the tech industry before running for governor. Burgum, who has longstanding ties to oil and gas companies will seek to fulfill the “drill baby drill” energy independence policy expressed by candidate Trump. Burgum would be in charge of managing vast swaths of federal land and coastal waters in the Interior Department, as well as leases of those lands for oil and gas drilling.

♦ Scott Bessent is a billionaire hedge fund manager who has been a central economic adviser to Mr. Trump as the president-elect created a campaign agenda centered on raising tariffs on imported goods. Mr. Bessent, who will oversee some of America’s most powerful economic levers in the Treasury Department, has called for rolling back government subsidies, deregulating the economy and raising domestic energy production.

Burgum and Bessent will get the majority of attention from the ‘resistance’ democrats and the Moonbats amid their climate change base.

Southwest Airlines pilot arrested just before takeoff and accused of DUI

A Southwest Airlines pilot was arrested Wednesday at a Georgia airportjust before takeoff and accused of driving under the influence, according to airline officials and authorities in Georgia.

A passenger told CNN affiliate WTOC on Wednesday he saw police escort the pilot off the plane.

David Paul Allsop, 52, of Bedford, New Hampshire, faces a DUI charge following his arrest at Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, according to records from the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia.

The records did not indicate the type of substance Allsop is accused of using. CNN has reached out to law enforcement officials for more information. Chatham County Sheriff's Office: Allsop’s bail was set at $3,500 and he has bonded out of jail, sheriff’s office records show.

Allsop has not appeared in court, according to a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office. An arraignment hearing will be scheduled at a later date, the spokesperson said.

CNN has reached out to Allsop and the Southwest Airlines Pilots Association for comment.

“We’re aware of a situation involving an employee on Flight 3772 Wednesday morning from Savannah,” a Southwest spokesperson told CNN in a statement on Thursday.Allsop has been “removed from duty,” the spokesperson added.

“Customers were accommodated on other flights and we apologize for the disruption to their travel plans,” the statement said. “There’s nothing more important to Southwest than the safety of our employees and customers.”

Federal regulations prohibit pilots from consuming alcohol within eight hours of flying or attempting to fly an aircraft, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. The same rule applies if the pilot has a blood alcohol concentration of 0.04 or greater, FAA regulations say.

In 2023, eight pilots were found to have a blood alcohol level of 0.04 or greater out of more than 17,600 pilots tested for alcohol consumption, according to the FAA.

The arrested pilot is a captain based at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport in Maryland and has been with the company for 18 years, an airline source told CNN.

Southwest Flight 3772 was scheduled to depart Savannah around 6 a.m. local time for Chicago’s Midway Airport but was delayed by nearly five hours, according to FlightAware.

Travelers were getting ready for takeoff when police boarded the aircraft, Southwest passenger Robert Newmerch told WTOC on Wednesday. An officer “went into the cockpit,” Newmerch said. The officer walked out of the plane but came back a few minutes later “and the pilot left with him,” He added. The incident left Newmerch feeling unsettled, he said.

“To see that and know that that’s why I did not fly to Midway this morning, it definitely left a little odd feeling in my stomach,” Newmerch said.
