today I had to clear the DNS cache multiple times using
> resolvectl flush-caches
from a bash prompt
and then things worked
I didn't need to do this for a very long time.
for about a year I'd have to do it multiple times a bread quite a long time ago.
it's not a road race. There is no finish line.
