The EO revocation:
Section 1 concerns COG plans at every agency. This means determining essential records, identifying fall back positions (alternate locations) and personnel assigned to conduct COG operations if any events happen. The NEFs it refers to are the primary functions like paying social security to beneficiaries if you’re the SSA.
Section 3 eliminated the committee that determined requirements for COG plans and section 4 addressed key smaller offices etc. to be included in COG plans.
Removing Section 5 removed the liaison between the committee and president.
Section 6 was left so the Director of OSTP is still in charge.
Removing Section 7 removed support for the committee.
Overall, Section 1 removal is the most interesting. The rest just eliminates a committee and its support that already completed their purpose.
