Fire Investigator Fag here…my opinion only on reports and pics…
Gate arms are down. No sign of the SUV that 'burst into flames. Damage to locomotive but without inspecting the semi I can't comment on impact area or speed. Semi appears struck and thrown, but cab doors open so not sure if it was someone in the cab that died, looks intact and survivable unless previous medical emergency. Also, 3 men in the cab of a trash hauler doesn't make sense. Only needs one person to operate a transport. If an SUV is involved, no pics of fire, burn, soot, wreckage. Treating as a hazmat scene is common, so that report is a blanket. Following closely, will throw in my two cents as it progresses.
