Kinda reminds me of how I used to go into a crowded laundromat, smile politely at all the illegals waiting for their bushels of laundry while tying up every single washer and dryer, and then quietly whisper to one of the ladies (in Spanish) that I saw ICE agents getting drinks in the supermarket next door, and they told me they were doing a sweep of the strip mall.
Man, oh man, that place cleaned out so quickly.
They thanked me for tipping them off.
" De nada, hermana ," I would reply.
It was the least I could do, I'd tell her.
Next thing I knew, every washer and dyer door was ripped open, wet clothes were stashed in bags, and the place cleared out.
Then I relax, in peace and quiet, and wash my clothes in my favorite washer and dryer, using the money on which I paid taxes, earned through my above-the-table job that I held.
