OK, riddle me this. The Gospels are all supposed to describe the same events, but described by different people. Why are there so many inconsistencies between them, since they were all witness to the same events?
Why have monarchies and churches all vied and fought for control of the masses? Why did Henry VIII create the Church of England?
I see the Gospels as the Times, Daily Mail, Washington Post and National Enquirer. Which one is actually describing the true event?
Even accident reports by witness can describe things differently, due to perspective and possible bias. It's how people interpret stuff.
