You never made pilot in command. You never held Command. Then you were paraded around in a wheelchair for another ten years until you made LTC.

I looked it up. Don’t read her book excerpt… it’s like twilight fan fiction of the GWOT.

Long story short, she was the battle captain.

“My job as a battle captain was to plan and coordinate missions for helicopter crews, but pilots want to fly, and so at least twice a week I made sure to get out and fly missions myself.”

So… pretty much exactly what I thought. And I’m sure if we got in touch with some folks with her unit, or any of her instructors at Rucker, I’m going to guess LOTS of prog rides, never made pilot-in-command, and has been riding her injuries to enrich herself.

Surely a sympathy-senate is qualified to make ANY decisions about GD ANYTHING.

Someone put a pacifier in her mouth, roll her into a corner and stick a chock block behind the wheel.

Look, I’ve never said anything negative about Duckworth’s service, but if she’s going to keep trashing other service members like this, especially over competence, it’s going to become fair game to discuss what really happened to the helicopter she was flying.
