Ok, bear with me on a crazy thought. This news about MLK may be totally true, I have no idea… but this whole thing reveals a new secret dirty trick… the ultimate long-con info time bomb.
The concept of a poison pill is well known in corporate strategy. I have been in the position of creating a poison pill strategy once to avoid a certain investor taking over a business I was running once. It involves creating a policy that would destroy the business if triggered by an acquisition.
If you were an intel clown, and you wanted to make sure certain events were never clear in the public domain, you would of course classify the shit out of key details… but what if someone comes along in future and declassifies it? Would you ever go one step further and insert additional false info (also classified), so when declass happens, the public still sees lies meant to muddy the waters?
All it would take is an agent willing to lie on paper.
I have just realized, no matter what is released, we must pick it apart critically, and not assume it is gospel truth just because it was classified.
