If anyone wants to research more, pretty sure this was his X account. Doxes first name in an exchange with Google (actually full search leads to this, likely from his gmail), location New York, posts about Jane Street, Waterloo Ontario, math guy, understands German. If so, he’s a mtf.

I remember warning Ophelia that Zizians were a death cult with a high local death rate…
Idk if this involved Ziz or associates but… well, Bayesian evidence (lefty radical violence + violent women).

Here's an idea that Ziz points to pretty cryptically at [warning: security risk prompt] https://sinceriously.fyi/narrative-breadcrumbs-vs-grizzly-bear/#comment-5054, but I don't remember anyone spelling it out; do you know if someone has ever made this point before?
Transparent Newcomb's problem is necessarily underspecified. 🧵

If you translate the thought experiment into anticipated experience, it doesn't start with Omega, it starts with you seeing a full box B, deciding to ask yourself "why is box B full?", and coming to the conclusion that it's only full because you're going to one-box.
You can make it easy to know the answer to this question (well can you? I'm not so sure actually), and you can make it hard to know the answer to other "why" questions, but you can't make them unknowable, because that's a property of the map, not the territory.
The answer could be that it's a thought experiment, but then this becomes a thought experiment about realizing you're in a thought experiment. And I'd imagine your actions will depend on your beliefs of why you were placed in this thought experiment!

Who is Ziz
Ziz is a giant griffin-like bird in Jewish mythology, known for its enormous size and the ability to block out the sun with its wingspan. According to legends, Ziz’s ankles rest on the earth, and its head reaches the sky. It is one of the first three primordial beasts created by God, alongside the Leviathan and Behemoth, which rule over the sea and the earth, respectively.
In one notable account, travelers on a vessel noticed a colossal bird standing in the water. The water only covered the bird’s feet, and its head pressed against the sky. The travelers thought the water was shallow and prepared to take a bath there. However, an angel warned them not to do so because a carpenter’s axe had fallen into the water at that spot seven years ago and had not yet reached the bottom.
Ziz is also known as Renanin because of its celestial singing and as Sekwi due to its relation to the heavenly regions. It is believed that at the end of time, Ziz will be served to the pious as a delicacy to compensate them for the privations they endured by abstaining from unclean fowls.
