  • some things were not clear because interviewer was very sympathetic, too much so

  • needs an interviewer that's more neutral (that will follow up with questions to clarify fuzzy points)

  • Sentenced to 22 years as the “ultimate” leader of the fake insurrection even tho he wasn’t even in DC on J6

  • He couldn’t imagine a sentence so long

  • DOJ wanted 33 years

  • He knew he wasn’t going to serve that sentence if Trump was elected

  • judge did not give his attorneys enough time to put together a case

  • says there was a lot of perjury during the trial

  • multiple FBI informants were in the witness list but even the FBI informants had nothing bad to say about the Proud Boys

  • this was biggest OP by DOJ, tactic was to bankrupt those prosecuted

  • agents were listening in on calls between him and his atty per FISA warrants

  • Tarrio was in solitary confinement, bad conditions

  • Transferred between 20-30 facilities

  • purpose of constant moving is to inflict punishment, deprived of soap, deodorant, food, drink, showers, etc during extended transfers

  • used to box handcuffs during transfers, they are terrible

  • why ok? Because he and others were classified as a “domestic terrorists”

  • up to 27 hours in box cuffs (max is supposed to be 4 hours), they did that for four years

  • this is torture

  • a lot of people caved in under these conditions, he told Feds to go kick rocks

 

  • not bitter but this system needs to change

  • Tarrio does not condone attacks on cops

  • they wanted him to say negative things about Trump but Tarrio doesn’t know Trump

  • if he would do that, they told him he would serve no time, he refused

  • he can’t talk about some things he was asked to do or say, could be in danger

 

  • Tarrio was a security contractor with fed govt for 12 years

  • re cops at the capitol on J6: they were there to protect the bldg

  • cops who attacked the crowd should be prosecuted

 

  • Proud Boys: when they went to events, number 1 priority was safety (Portland, Seattle, etc.)

  • he would contact local law enforcement so his group was safe

  • we can’t trust law enforcement now, espec. FBI

  • he never committed acts of sedition

  • no cop died as the result of attacks on J6

 

  • he was indicted for a doc he never read: “1776 returns”

  • it was a CIA wargame, was not a conspiracy (“I hate the Qanon shit” KEK)

  • it was found on his phone but he did not see

  • sent by someone

 

  • says his judge was ‘a piece of shit’, he was a victim

  • govt needed a boogie man, they picked him

  • says not an extremist

  • don’t have to go to rallies to be a member, just attend monthly mtgs

  • says he doesn’t want to be referred to as EX-proud boy

  • this isn’t about him, the proud boys or any group, it’s about fixing the system
