They've never really stopped the anti-Russia messaging. Only slowed it down for the mid-east terrorist and NK boogeymen.
I do not have a source, but seems they did turn it back up in 2016 with small news bits instead of movies. First to prop up Hillary, then after the election to smear Trump.
