it was so crazy how a wanted isis commander trimmed his beard and put on a suit and became celebrated as the leader of a "liberated" Syria. no one stopped to say wtf just happened. and the details of Assad and Russia leaving were just chalked up to Russia being tied down in Ukraine… this is the first thing I've seen making sense of it all and would be absolutely stunning and brilliant if true!
