E.g. Kash hearing

The constant manipulation, decontextualization, bad faith paraphrasing, and partial quotating that goes on constantly in politics is a well developed weapon with many books written over decades and centuries to develop these tactics as well as, more recently, to expose and criticize them.

Implementing these tactics to this degree needs to be covered by law as a serious offense against the first amendment. I understand the thin ice at issue, but without something, people who abuse these cracks in free speech force us to take the long way home. We may ultimately win, but if it takes years and years, it seems like a Pyrrhic victory. If for some reason, this is the only way, then I suppose we are sacrificing many years of those currently alive to create a long trail of evidence that no future civilization will be able to deny. Perhaps they can live better because of what we are sacrificing. I'm open to that, but if you left it to me, I'd be rounding all these fucks up and putting them on trial for suppression of the so many citizens' first amendment rights.

nothing makes sense with this helicopter. certainly the DEI air traffic controller thing needs to stop, but seems difficult to put the blame there unless the helicopter pilots were just such yes men that they denied their own eyes. I highly doubt…

oh shit, hegseth just said the flight was a continuity of government training mission! WTF???

As I was saying, to me, either the heli pilot was an idiot DEI hire, purposely trying to cause some havoc, or the helicopter was remotely taken over. flight path is nutty.

and if he had night vision goggles, he'd be very dependent on good traffic controllers…but wouldn't there be more military traffic controllers involved, not just the airport? Don't want too many cooks in the kitchen on the radio, but why be dependent on 1 person, 1 failsafe for instructions?

Hegseth's continuity of government comment was interesting, as was Trump's response just now. It makes me wonder if while there was a fight to implement it years ago, there's now a fight to end it.
