"we have some very strong opinions" about what happened
POTUS speaks against DEI policies for FAA, they have promoted the hiring of people for ATC positions who have deficiencies
Dept of Transportation has been run right into the ground with DEI
started under Obama: "too white"
last night's incident:
the plane was "on track"
for some reason, heli was at same height and angle that was "unbelivably bad"
ATC to heli: "do you see him?"
ATC: "follow him in"
this implies everything's fine
crash occurred right after
helicopters can stop very quickly
it made a wrong turn - did the opposite of what it was told
VERY little time but heli had a vision of the plane:
"for some reason, there weren't adjustments made"
"it just kept going"
"made a slight turn at the very end but it was too late"
"was exactly at the same hgt, somebody should have been able to point that out"
plane and heli: same direction, same height, opposite direction
this was a confluence of bad decisions
"We don't know it was the controller's fault, but this is a tragedy that should not have happened."
