In a series of meetings at the highest levels of the Vatican, AJC communicated concerns regarding papal pronouncements post-October 7 and suggested steps for moving forward.
We appreciate Cardinal Secretary of State Parolin and Secretary for Relations with States Archbishop Gallagher for meeting with us to discuss these issues of paramount importance to the global Jewish community.
It was also an opportunity to share AJC’s groundbreaking work with Translate Hate: The Catholic Edition, published jointly with the @USCCB (US Conference of Catholic Bishops).

Breaking News: A Pentagon appeals panel has upheld a Guantanamo judge’s decision in the U.S.S. Cole bombing case to forbid the use of the defendant’s confession as derived from torture.
The ruling, sealed pending a classification review, was unanimous.
