How US taxpayers funded the largest illegal migration in history

For four years, I’ve reported about how a large, organized constellation of United Nations agencies partnered with hundreds of private nonprofit groups to direct billions of mostly US-taxpayer dollars into supporting historic illegal southern border crossing levels during President Joe Biden’s term in office.

Even for the new Trump administration, this conglomerate of 15 UN agencies and 230 NGOs was proposing to spend yet another $1.4 billion on the migration trail in 2025, $1.2 billion more for 2026.

That’s in addition to the more than $6 billion from 2020-2024 during the greatest mass migration event in American history.

Separately, hundreds of millions more went through NGOs to migrants arriving on the US side for their soft landing resettlements.

But now it looks like little to none of that funding will come from US taxpayers going forward.

New Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on Wednesday issued an “exclusive announcement” to Fox News’ Will Cain that Trump has turned off that firehose.

“We have stopped all grant funding that’s being abused by NGOs to facilitate illegal immigration into this country,” Noem said. “I’ve taken action to stop those funds, to re-evaluate them, and to make sure that we’re actually using taxpayer dollars in a way that strengthens this country, to keep people safe.

“We’re not spending another dime to help the destruction of this country.”

This highly consequential sea change is guaranteed to finally bring about a badly needed national policy debate about migration. It’s one that Democrats have worked with their UN, NGO, and US media brethren to squelch throughout Biden’s term in office.

An executive order may be en route with details.

Those are badly needed because Noem didn’t say if the cash halt covers the 15 UN agencies working on the trails too, doing the same work as the NGOs and passing through to them some of that US cash — most of which originates as grants from the US State Department and the US Agency for International Development.

However expansive it turns out to be, Noem’s new move comes far too long after I became the first to report in 2021 that the UN-NGO organization was distributing cash debit cards at a camp in Reynosa, Mexico.

Leading War Criminal Benjamin Netanyahu Will Visit Donald Trump

First foreign leader to meet with the new president

President Donald Trump has invited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to meet with him at the White House on Tuesday February 4th. Netanyahu will be the first foreign head of state to visit America’s new president and the message being sent by virtue of that fact would seem inescapable, i.e. that Israel is in the minds of the country’s powerbrokers and media indeed America’s “best friend” and “closest ally.” Or is it. It is possible, though admittedly less likely, that Trump, he of the enormous ego, might well take the opportunity to suppress any thoughts that the Israeli leader is basically dictating the course of US foreign policy in the Middle East. Trump just might want to make it clear in the face-to-face that he is the one who is in charge.

I must admit that when the story broke my first thought was that Netanyahu might possibly discover that he has been lured to Washington. When his plane lands at Dulles International or Andrews AFB, I even hoped there would be an international police contingent waiting for him to show him the warrant for his arrest, read him his rights, shackle him, and send him off to The Hague to be tried for his numerous war crimes and his involvement in genocide. Hopefully, Joe Biden and Tony Blinken would be treated similarly and sent off on the same plane. But my dream outcome for the visit faded as reality set in and I came to accept that Bibi will be more likely feted as royalty by the neocons and other not-quite-human trash that now infests the US government.

There is however admittedly a distinct possibility that Trump will assert himself as he apparently did recently when a video was posted by him on the Trump social media site Truth Social. The video featured Columbia professor Jeffrey Sachs bad mouthing Bibi, saying

“Netanyahu had from 1995 onward the theory that the only way we’re gonna get rid of Hamas and Hezbollah is by toppling the governments that support them. That’s Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Iran. And the guy’s nothing if not obsessive. And he’s still trying to get us to fight Iran this day, this week. He’s a deep dark sonofabitch, sorry to tell you. ’Cause he’s gotten us into endless wars, and because of the power of all of this in the US politics, he’s gotten his way.”

Or, alternatively, Trump could easily continue the Middle East policy that prevailed in his first term as president, which was, like Genocide Joe Biden, to defer to Israel on nearly everything. Trump moved the US Embassy to Jerusalem and violated international law by declaring the city to be the true legal Israeli capital; he endorsed the annexation of the Syrian Golan Heights by Israel; he chose to ignore atrocities committed by Israeli settlers and soldiers directed against the Palestinians living on the West Bank; and he withdrew from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) agreement to monitor and limit a possible Iranian nuclear program. Also regarding Iran, he ordered that country’s Quds Force commander Qassim Soleimani assassinated in January 2020 while Soleimani was on a peace mission to Baghdad.

Gynaecologist is suspended for refusing to treat a trans patient and saying he is only qualified to deal with 'real women'

A French gynaecologist has been barred from his practice for a month for refusing to examine a transgender patient after he said he was only qualified to treat 'real women'.

Dr Victor Acharian refused to see the 26-year-old patient, who attended the gynaecological appointment with her boyfriend, in August 2023.

He told her that he was 'not competent, but I can guide you' and said that it was not his 'specialty', adding: 'I don't know how to treat them and I don't mind being called ignorant,' Euronews reported.

The patient reportedly called the doctor 'transphobic' before her partner left a comment on the clinic's Google reviews complaining about what had happened.

The doctor replied that he only treated 'real women' and said he had 'no skills to treat men, even if they have shaved their beards and come to tell my secretary that they have become women'.

The incident left the patient in a 'black hole' and in 'shock', according to French press.

Transgender rights organisations also lodged a series of complaints, coming to the patient's defence.

In December, Dr Acharian appeared before the French Medical Council and, now, he has been suspended for a month from March 1, with an additional five months' probation, the Times reported.

War Crime: Ukrainians Shelled Civilian Hospital With Cluster Munitions From USA

The terrorist Kyiv regime committed another crime against civilians. On the morning of January 31st, the Armed Forces of Ukraine shelled a hospital in the center of Gorlovka. Ukrainians again used US-made systems with prohibited cluster munitions against civilians.

The footage clearly confirmed that this was a targeted attack on the civilian facility. The timing was aimed to kill as more civilians as possible. The attack took place at about 8 a.m. in the morning, when all patients, who are mostly elderly people left in the town, are coming to visit their doctors. There were at least two waves of strikes with cluster munitions in the same area. The second strike was exactly aimed at harming those who came to the rescue. The cluster munition is also aimed to inflict maximum damage to enemy manpower and the Nazi Ukrainian military does not stop using it against the civilian population.

The footage also confirms that there were no military targets to destroy in the area, only civilians walking down the streets. As a result of precision strikes, two elderly women were knocked down and heavily wounded by munitions that exploded right under their feet. At the moment when the men ran to their aid, the second blow was struck.

The local Specialists of the Department for the Documentation of Ukrainian War Crimes have confirmed the shelling of the central district of Gorlovka. The Ukrainian military fired M–864 155 mm artillery shells manufactured in the USA with cluster warheads (M–42 cumulative and M–46 fragmentation submunitions). The exact Ukrainian unit responsible for the attack and their military positions are yet to be determined.

At least 11 civilians were wounded in various degrees of severity. According to the official report, they include women born in 1946, 1951, 1956, 1961, 1963, 1975, 1978, 1991, men born in 1946, 1962 and 1983. Damage to civilian infrastructure was recorded across the town.

Unfortunately, this is the reality that the residents of the Donbass republic have been living for years. Only some of daily Ukrainian attacks are filmed by some cameras. Most of the victims remain unnoticed by the public in the daily lists of killed and wounded published by the DPR and LPR authorities.

The Nazi Kyiv regime has been terrorising the regions it lost for 11 years. Today, the Russian army is Ukrainians away from their positions on the outskirts of the Donetsk urban agglomeration and the intensity of daily strikes is slightly decreasing; but left without their obsolete weapons, Ukrainian Nazis are now paid by the West, which provides all the necessary missiles, artillery systems, MLRS, cluster munitions to continue the bloodshed and free the Nazi hands to continue the war crimes.

Syria's Al-Qaeda Branch Dissolves, Says Goals Completed By Regime Change

The Salafi jihadist group Hurras al-Din, Syria’s official al-Qaeda affiliate, announced this week that it was dissolving, saying its goals were complete following the regime change that ousted former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

"[T]he sons of the Al-Qaeda Jihad organization rushed to support the people of the Levant and assist them in removing injustice from them until God permitted this Sunni Muslim people to triumph over one of the most unjust tyrants of the modern era," Hurras al-Din said in a statement.

The group said al-Qaeda had ordered it to dissolve. "In light of these developments on the Levantine scene, and by an emir’s decision from the general command of al-Qaeda in the Levant organization, we announce to our Muslim nation and to the Sunnis in the Levant the dissolution of the Guardians of Religion Organization (Hurras al-Din)," the group said.

Hurras al-Din formed in 2018 as an offshoot of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), the militant group that led the offensive against Assad and now rules Syria. HTS was previously the official al-Qaeda affiliate in Syria when it was known as the al-Nusra Front, but it rebranded in 2016 to gain international support.

Over the years, there have been tensions between HTS and Hurras al-Din, which were both based in Syria’s northwest Idlib before HTS took Damascus. In 2020, HTS began arresting some senior members of Hurras al-Din. The US had also waged a drone war against Hurras al-Din and bombed them in Idlib as recently as August 2024.

Hurras al-Din told its members to keep their weapons and urged Syria’s new leaders to keep Sunni Muslims armed.

"We advise them to keep the weapon in the hands of the Sunnis in the Levant in order for a nation to remain carrying weapons so that no tyrant will enslave it, and no occupier will covet it," the group said.

Hurras al-Din’s fighters may merge with Syria’s new HTS-led military, which has appointed foreign jihadists to senior positions. The dissolution announcement came after HTS’s leader, Abu Mohammad al-Julani, now known by his real name Ahmed Hussein al-Sharaa, said there would be no armed groups outside of the new HTS-led government’s control.

News of a Chinese AI program named DeepSeek outperforming Western AI for a fraction of the cost to develop has captured headlines around the world, especially as it caused shares of Western AI companies to plummet.

“The moat the U.S. built to protect its companies from domestic competition actually created the conditions that allowed them to atrophy. They got fat and happy inside their castles,” wrote Drop Site News. “Their business pivoted from technological innovation to performing alchemy with spreadsheets, turning made-up metrics into dollar valuations detached from reality.

“Now DeepSeek has exposed the scam. With a tiny fraction of the resources, and without access to the full panoply of U.S. chip technology, the Chinese company DeepSeek has pantsed Silicon Valley.”

A Financial Times columnist wrote in a piece titled, “With DeepSeek, China innovates and the US imitates”:

“Triumphalist glee lit up the Chinese internet this week. … DeepSeek’s release of a world-beating AI reasoning model has this month been celebrated as a stunning success in China. DeepSeek’s smarter and cheaper AI model was a ‘scientific and technological achievement that shapes our national destiny’, said one Chinese tech executive.

China’s delight, however, spelled pain for several giant US technology companies as investors questioned whether DeepSeek’s breakthrough undermined the case for their colossal spending on AI infrastructure.

US tech and energy stocks lost $1tn of their market value on Monday, although they regained some ground later in the week. … DeepSeek’s emergence confounds many of the outworn prejudices about Chinese innovation, although it is far from a typical Chinese company. It certainly invalidates the old saw that while the US innovates, China imitates and Europe regulates.”

British politician and commentator George Galloway said:

“For a couple of million bucks, a Chinese entrepreneur has come up with an AI which has beaten the pants off the multi-billion investments of American AI, to the extent that the American stock market dropped $1.3 trillion. Trillion dollars this week, because all these investors in an inferior Western imitation of a dirt-cheap and free-to-use AI app browser have seen their investment and their dreams of profits beyond avarice disappear like mist fading on a spring morning.”

The Indian news outlet went on to wow us with DeepSeek techs specs, no doubt contributing to the shift in world-wide investment:

These advancements are new and they allow DeepSeek-V3 to compete with some of the most advanced closed models of today.”
