Consider this: We can not fix the catalog in the manner that CM normally suggests, because no anon can delete or modify shit. The mod team is hesitant to do much to the content of the board without CM around, for obvious reasons. We've recently had a BV ejected that is known to have been deleting posts and fucking with the board itself over time. (the evidence of this is in the breads, surprise surprise).
I'm actually of the opinion that fungus was messing around with trying to fuck up the board programmatically. And got caught at it. …But without proof further other than the fuckery they got caught doing, it's only a suspicion.
Since the part of the database that this board resides in has been pretty much assfucked, any whining about muh breads is moot without combing the database, which is not trivial. If people had spent half the time archiving offline that they spend bitching about the problem… It wouldn't be a slide topic.
