/pol/ can break people if they only focus on the heinous acts of the perpetrators.
Remember, in every wicked act done against humanity, there are guilty parties committing the crimes, and then there are the victims.
Be aware of, and angry about those who abuse and take advantage of people, and rage against them.
But also remember the victims; those individuals / groups against which the predators have set their sights.
Be the champion of those victims.
Many silently endure knowledge of the ugly, dirty truth in order to expose the activities of the scumbags and traitors who desperately try to keep this activity hidden from public view.
This is a burden not many can handle. Many law officers suffer depression because they think their chosen career is an act of futility.
Be the champion that no one else can be.
