🗣 | NATO Secretary General:
One of the best things about being NATO Secretary General is meeting the great men and women serving in uniform.
Since taking office, I have met NATO forces from the Baltic to the Black Sea.
I was deeply impressed by the professionalism and dedication of our troops based in Estonia, Latvia and Bulgaria.
And the personnel at NATO’s new command in Germany who are providing support for Ukraine.
Today, I have a message for all the members of our armed forces.
Thank you for defending our way of life.
You protect and preserve what we hold dear.
You keep our nations safe, but also our families and friends.
And we should remember that as we head into the holiday season.
As one English writer put it:
“The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.”
At this time in our uncertain world, it is not always easy to think about peace, hope and light.
But we can take comfort and strength knowing that we stand together.
To our men and women in uniform, we owe you a debt of gratitude.
You are the ones who give this great Alliance confidence and courage.
Thank you for your service and sacrifice, especially to those of you serving far from home.
It is because of you we are free and safe to celebrate this season.

Summary
The Dashavatara (Sanskrit:दशावतार, IAST:daśāvatāra) are the ten primary avatars of Vishnu, a principal Hindu god. Vishnu is said to descend in the form of an avatar to restore cosmic order. The word Dashavatara derives fromdaśa, meaning "ten", andavatāra, roughly equivalent to "incarnation".
The list of included avatars varies across sects and regions, particularly with respect to the inclusion of Balarama (brother of Krishna) or Gautama Buddha. In traditions that omit Krishna, he often replaces Vishnu as the source of all avatars. Some traditions include a regional deity such as Vithoba or Jagannath in penultimate position, replacing Krishna or Buddha. All avatars have appeared except one: Kalki, who will appear at the end of the Kali Yuga.
The order of the ancient concept of Dashavataras has also been interpreted to be reflective of modern Darwinian evolution, as a description of the evolution of consciousness.

Q-ships, also known as Q-boats, decoy vessels, special service ships, or mystery ships, were heavily armed merchant ships with concealed weaponry, designed to lure submarines into making surface attacks. This gave Q-ships the chance to open fire and sink them.
They were used by the British Royal Navy and the German Kaiserliche Marine during the First World War and by the Royal Navy, the Kriegsmarine, the Imperial Japanese Navy, and the United States Navy during the Second World War.
Though legally recognised as an acceptable tactic of military deception, they have attracted much controversy, enjoying only marginal success during WWI and none in WWII.[1][2]
