Maybe after Musk and guise shut it down they can re-open it as United States Agency for Internal Development, keep the acronym, re-hire the feds and contractors who want to be re-hired to work on our internal challenges, like the crappy water situation in Flint, MI, the air quality in East Palestine, OH, the good folks in NC still wallowing in the aftermath of the hurricane, the cleanup needed for the LA "wildfires". There's enough challenges within our borders to warrant this re-targeted effort; you have a workforce already trained in development issues; and you'd be pouring that money (salaries and all resources) back into the U.S.
