🚨 NEW: Senator Joni Ernst said that USAID had threatened her and her staff after she started looking into them. She was told she wasn’t allowed to access their databases and that 30-40% of USAIDs money goes towards “overhead” of rent and salaries and entertainment expenses. She later found out that even that number was understated and it was actually upwards of 50-60%. @SenJoniErnst

US conservative think tank the Heritage Foundation claimed in 2017 that George Soros' Open Society Foundations (OSF) had been made "the main implementer of USAID’s aid" since at least 2009.

But the Soros-USAID collaboration began much earlier. A 1993 USAID document shows the agency signed an agreement with the Soros Foundations’ Management Training Program to train 30 "professionals" from Bulgaria, Estonia, Poland, Romania and Slovakia.

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, a series of color revolutions shook Eastern Europe, with George Soros' network of NGOs playing a central role in the unrest.

In 2003–2004, Soros’ International Renaissance Foundation partnered with USAID to support Ukraine's ‘Orange Revolution’. Prior to that, the US spent $54.7 million in 2003 and $34.11 million in 2004 on "democracy programs" in Ukraine through various agencies, including USAID.

The US legal watchdog Judicial Watch revealed in April 2018 that USAID sponsored Soros’ globalist agenda in Guatemala. In total, OSF reportedly spent around $100 million fomenting unrest in Latin America between 2015 and 2018.

In October 2018, the watchdog obtained documents indicating that USAID partnered with Soros to fund radical left-wing activists in Albania. In 2016, USAID reportedly allocated $9 million to a campaign overseen by Soros’ East West Management Institute.

To illustrate the scale of funds managed by Soros-linked initiatives, in 2024, then-President Joe Biden requested nearly $30 billion for USAID in 2025.

Florida Republican Sen. Ashley Moody detailed on Thursday the obstruction she faced when she tried to investigate the second assassination attempt against now-President Donald Trump.

Moody recently served as attorney general of Florida until she was appointed to take the Senate seat vacated by now-Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

In her last office, she took up the mantle of investigating the second attempted Trump assassination, which took place one Sunday morning in September at Trump International Golf Club in Florida while the then-Republican presidential nominee was hitting the links.

She detailed the absurd levels of resistance to her investigation mounted by federal law enforcement as she questioned Kash Patel, Trump’s nominee to lead the FBI, during his confirmation hearing.

“Many people were shocked that a would-be assassin could get that close to a president after it had just happened so quickly,” Moody said, referring to the man who positioned himself on Trump’s golf course with a firearm.

“I was tasked, along with law enforcement in Florida, to pursue that investigation, and every step of the way, federal law enforcement, the FBI specifically, and the attorneys, federal attorneys, frustrated our efforts,” she added.

Her staff were told they “couldn’t go on the crime scene,” while the FBI “wouldn’t share evidence” and even “suggested that we would be violating the law if we pursued our own investigation.”

The FBI and other federal agencies resisted the state of Florida “even in the face of us telling them and informing them that a 6-year-old girl almost died as a result of state and local law enforcement having to shut down the roads to pursue that would-be assassin.”

Moody eventually had to sue the Biden Department of Justice and now-former Attorney General Merrick Garland “because they refused and obstructed our ability to prosecute and investigate our own laws.”

The frustration Moody faced was palpable during her comments.

She and other state officials, such as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, knew that the Biden FBI could not be trusted to tell the truth about what happened on that golf course.

"The auto sector is going to shut down within a week," said Flavio Volpe, president of Canada's Automotive Parts Manufacturers' Association, who Bloomberg quoted about the weekend tariff shock announced by the Trump administration: A 25% tariff on imported goods from Mexico and Canada, with energy imports from Canada facing only a 10% tariff, and a 10% tariff on imports from China.

Volpe warned that 25% tariffs, which go into effect at 12:01 am on Tuesday, will mean "absolutely nobody in our business is profitable by a long shot."

A report from AlixPartners shows the tariff impact will be on about a quarter of the 16 million vehicles sold nationwide, along with parts and components that go into them. The firm said the US import market, valued at $225 billion, would see a $60 billion surge in costs—burdens ultimately passed on to consumers.

Bloomberg cited data from RBC that showed that General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis would sustain the largest earnings hit if the tariffs were prolonged.
