The Trump administration warned federal workers Tuesday that the “majority” of government agencies will be downsized and that a buyout offer extended last week will not be renewed.

The so-called “Deferred Resignation” program offers more than 2 million federal employees unwilling to comply with a return to office mandate about eight months of pay and benefits if they resign before midnight on Thursday.

“There will NOT be an extension of this program,” read an email to government workers from the Office of Personnel Management.

Army recruiting shatters records after President Trump election win.

The U.S. Army recently announced it shattered previous recruiting records, with December 2024 being the most productive December in 15 years.

The branch reported it enlisted nearly 350 soldiers every day that month, Army officials announced Tuesday on social media.

"Our Recruiters have one of the toughest jobs – inspiring the next generation of #Soldiers to serve. Congratulations and keep up the great work! #BAYCB," Army recruiting officials wrote in a post on X.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth took to X to share the news: "BOTTOM LINE: America’s youth want to serve under the bold & strong "America First" leadership of [President Donald Trump] @realDonaldTrump."

DOGE Cancels Politico's Government Funding After $8 Million in Subscription Contracts Revealed.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced Wednesday that Politico will not receive another dime of taxpayer money after it was revealed that the politics-focused news outlet has taken in more than $8 million via subscriptions and other government contracts.

Leavitt said the Department of Government Efficiency, run by Elon Musk, will handle ending Politico's payments.
