Trump envoy responds to Zelensky’s nuclear weapons demand

The chances of Kiev getting nukes are “somewhere between slim and none,” Keith Kellogg has said

US President Donald Trump’s envoy to Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, has brushed aside Kiev’s demand for nuclear weaponry, stating that it is “not going to happen.”

Kellogg made the remarks on Thursday while speaking to Fox News Digital. He was asked about the latest call by Vladimir Zelensky for “nuclear weapons” and “missile systems” from Kiev’s Western backers.

“The chance of them getting their nuclear weapons back is somewhere between slim and none. Let’s be honest about it, we both know that’s not going to happen,” Kellogg said.

The idea of arming Ukraine with nukes goes against “common sense” and is not something the Trump administration would consider, Kellogg stated. “Remember, the president said we’re a government of common sense. When somebody says something like that, look at the outcome or the potential. That’s using your common sense,” he explained.

Zelensky, speaking to British journalist Piers Morgan earlier this week, said that Ukraine must either be fast-tracked into the US-led NATO bloc or given more weaponry to “stop Russia.”

The Justice Department says it has effectively ended its case against members of Project Veritas without charges in connection with the undercover investigative group trying to publish the diary of former first daughter Ashley Biden.

The announcement was made Wednesday by federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorneys Office for the Southern District of New York in a one-paragraph letter to the judge overseeing the matter.

The letter states prosecutors will not bring additional charges and asks that the judge's command be terminated.

However, the prosecutors did not provide an explanation for the decision in the long-running investigation.

The defendants were James O'Keefe, Spencer Meads and Eric Cochranames. The investigation started in the last few days of the 2020 presidential campaign, which Biden's father, Joe Biden, won.

Authorities said in court filings that the three individuals paid for the diary. Later two other individuals pleaded guilty for stealing the diary and selling it to Project Veritas, according to The New York Times.

Robert Kurlander, one of the men who pleaded guilty to stealing the diary, had his sentencing delayed until May.

Gold Lease Rates Explode as US Repatriation, Delivery Logistics Grow

Authored by GoldFix, ZH Edit

On January 30th this was written regarding The Musical Chairs of Gold Supply

Bullion banks relied on a game of musical chairs, borrowing gold to meet short-term needs. But when enough chairs are removed—when buyers refuse to lease their holdings—banks are forced to compete for an ever-dwindling supply. That’s what’s happening now. From: Zerohedge Edit-The LBMA Doesn't Have the Gold

Yesterday, Bloomberg, in an article entitled Gold at Bank of England Trades at Discount as Tariff Fears Drive U.S. Demand describes the current gold market situation. The article states that:

‘Gold stored in the Bank of England (BOE) vaults is trading at a discount to the broader market as concerns over potential Trump tariffs drive a rush for physical bullion. The surge in demand has created weeks-long withdrawal delays, making BOE gold less attractive than metal stored in commercial vaults.’
