I am the founder and CEO of The 1896 Studios and Stages, a versatile and unique venue for the TV, film, commercial, photo, and music industry in Brooklyn, NY. For over 16 years, I have been transforming a series of turn-of-the-century factory spaces into a tangle of different indoor and outdoor scenes, from smokestack to brick-lined alleyway. I have a keen eye for design, scenic painting, and creative direction, and I enjoy collaborating with diverse and talented clients and partners.
I am also a sculptor with nearly three decades of experience and education. I have a MFA in Sculpture from Yale School of Art, a BFA from The Art Institute of Chicago, and a double BA in Journalism and English from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. I have exhibited nationally and internationally, and have taught and designed courses in sculpture, spatial relations, and art criticism at prestigious institutions such as MICA Art School and Pratt Institute of Art.
