Kinda like cops. If there actually are "good" ones, there shouldn't be a professional code of silence about officer misconduct. By supporting, and covering for, the "bad" ones it makes the "good" ones exceptionally hard to support. It also calls into question whether there actually are "good" ones at all. Especially from an optics perspective.
