Me: Wow, there's a pretty big consensus on that issue on your side, right?

Lib: YES

Me: Wow, I wonder. Why do you think your reps don't do anything about it?

Lib: [stupid answers]

Me: Could it be because they have someone or some group who influences them more than their constituents?

Lib: Of course, they are all bought and paid for

Me: Wouldn't it be nice to have a politician who wasn't part of that system

Lib: Yes!

Me: Ideally, they would have their own funding, and not have to rely on donors

Lib: Ok…

Me: Trump?

Lib: NOOOO. [stupid stuff]. We NEED TO JUST GET MONEY OUT OF POLITICS!!!

Me: Sure. Which politican will vote for that, given that we have just established they are bought??
