Elizabeth Warren Destroyed By X Community Notes Over Pharma Corruption

Lying about being a Native American for DEI leg-ups, it turns out, isn’t the only dishonesty Elizabeth Warren peddles.

Warren, in fact, is the second-biggest beneficiary of cash from pharma employees and/or PACs in the entire Congress, next to Bernie Sanders.

Via TIME, 2020 (emphasis added):

In an ironic twist, that now makes Warren, who along with Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders has been the strongest opponent of super PACs in the 2020 campaign, the biggest beneficiary of such a group heading into Super Tuesday — the most prominent reversal yet among the candidates on the issue of high-dollar donations. At one point, nearly every candidate decried the practice, before realizing it may be a necessity for survival.

Under campaign finance laws, donors can give unlimited amounts to a super PAC as long as the groups do not directly coordinate with the candidates they are supporting. Since launching her campaign, Warren has prided herself on her refusal to accept money from political action committees or federal lobbyists, and she has promised to disavow any super PAC that formed on her behalf.

That pledge is still publicly available on her campaign website, but Warren has not distanced herself from Persist PAC. Instead, her rhetoric on the issue started to shift in the past month, as her once-promising campaign underperformed its expectations in the first three states to vote. “If all the candidates want to get rid of super PACs, count me in, I’ll lead the charge,” she told reporters on Feb. 20 in Nevada when asked if she would disavow Persist PAC. “But that’s how it has to be. It can’t be the case that a bunch of people keep them and only one or two don’t.”

AfD’s Petr Bystron Demands Investigation into USAID Activities in the EU

AfD Member of the European Parliament Petr Bystron is calling for an immediate investigation into the activities of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) within the European Union. This comes amid allegations that USAID attempted to influence the 2024 European elections through disinformation campaigns in several EU countries, based on revelations by Elon Musk and Donald Trump about illegal practices within USAID.

“Trump has done fantastic groundwork; now we must also swiftly and comprehensively uncover illegal election interference by foreign powers in Europe,” Bystron stated. There is an urgent suspicion that this foreign influence has significantly manipulated the composition of the EU Parliament. “The EU must uncompromisingly combat all forms of hybrid warfare, foreign propaganda, and disinformation.”

Bystron criticized USAID-funded media for allegedly targeting opposition forces. “Our democracy must be protected from foreign influence,” the AfD politician said. It is the responsibility of European institutions to investigate these manipulations and ensure the security of future elections.

USAID is currently facing criticism for allegedly using intelligence funds to influence elections and orchestrate regime changes worldwide. As a result, U.S. President Donald Trump has drastically cut USAID’s budget and placed all employees on leave as of February 7.

Bystron was the target of a NGO- and Intel-based smear campaign in the EU Parliament elections 2024, which could never be substantiated.

Farage: Politicians Are ‘All Wankers, The Lot of Them’

Reform UK leader Nigel Farage gets unusually sympathetic treatment in UK newspaper profile in which he expressed empathy for Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer while broadly calling the legacy political class “wankers”.

Nigel Farage’s Reform UK party is doing well because it brings positive, optimistic energy and answers to problems that the legacy parties won’t even consider. In any case, of what is sometimes called the ‘Westminster blob’, Mr Farage told London’s Evening Standard: “Politicians? Let’s face it, they’re all wankers, the lot of them.”

The comments come in an unusually sympathetic profile from the former freesheet paper, including acknowledgements Farage is moving beyond the decades on the “margins” of British politics to cementing a position in the middle of it. The profile states, complimentarily: “Farage is political kryptonite, a man who is learning how to neutralise foes both old (the Tories) and new (Sir Keir Starmer’s beleaguered Labour Party)”.

While Farage’s headline remarks on the wankers of the political establishment could be called unkind, in the attached interview the British sovereigntist is full of sympathy for the present Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, who he characterises as a nice man struggling with unhappiness after finding himself in a job to which he is not well suited. Farage questions whether Starmer can possibly remain in office for long, implying the more obviously capable leftist Wes Streeting could move against him.

A mark of a great leader is the ability to enjoy politics even when times are bad, Farage explains, noting Thatcher and Blair “clearly enjoyed it” even in tough times — “both were great leaders with vision”. Starmer and Reeves clearly not happy, he said.

Quite apart from the threat Reform UK itself poses to the left — and that is something Labour has been waking up to of late, it seems — Farage also pointed to the fracturing of the left in Britain, with factions including the polished mainstream of Labour, the old hard left of Jeremy Corbyn that Starmer purged from his party ranks, the now clearly established green party, and the emergence of the Muslim-bloc vote.

Mr Farage said: “the Gaza vote — putting it politely — isn’t going away. And with the demographic changes, and the number of young Muslim men between 15 and 18, and you fast forward to the next election, 25 per cent of that cohort have quite strong, radical views. They could win 20-30 seats at the next election. Wes Streeting only won his seat by 500 votes.”

Study Finds IQ Loss From Fluoride Exposure Is Significant

The new study, published last week in the Journal of the American Medical Association, adds to the growing body of evidence of fluoride toxicity.

More research has emerged linking higher fluoride levels to lower intelligence in children and authors of a recent study have concluded that the consequences are significant. The study, Fluoride Exposure and Children’s IQ Scores: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis, was a rigorous nine-year systematic review conducted by the National Toxicology Program (NTP) housed in the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), and was published last week in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) Pediatrics.1

The study was part of a larger monograph that began in 2015 and was the basis of the federal court ruling ordering the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to further regulate fluoride community water.2 3

The study concluded that for every one part per million increase in fluoride, there was an associated one-point drop in a child’s IQ score. The authors noted that a one-point reduction may seem small but the consequences are significant, especially for vulnerable high-risk populations like those who live in poverty or have poor nutrition.

The stated that “a five-point decrease in a population’s IQ would nearly double the number of people classified as intellectually disabled.”3

The NTP lengthy monograph was subject to an unprecedented number of reviews that some critics claim was designed to delay the process.3 For reference, prior reports on other chemicals typically just have one peer-review. The report was finalized in May 2022 but not released until August 2024.4

Study Played Major Role in Judge’s Decision to Mandate EPA to Reduce Fluoride Risk

The review was a major contributor to U.S. District Court Judge Edward Chen’s decision to require the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to reduce fluoride’s risks to children. “Simply put, the risk to health at exposure levels in United States drinking water is sufficiently high to trigger regulatory response by the EPA,” Judge Chen wrote in the ruling.3

The Fluoride Action Network, one of the groups responsible for suing the EPA, reported last week that the EPA has filed a notice of appeal of the court’s decision with no explanation or justification for the decision. The Fluoride Action Network states the appeal “is a continuation of the EPA’s reluctance to admit they have failed to protect the public adequately from this pollutant for over 50 years.”5

An initial study linking higher maternal fluoride levels to IQ loss in children was published in the same journal, JAMA Pediatrics, in 2019. In a podcast episode discussing why editor-in-chief Dimitri Christakis decided to publish the controversial study, he stated that he struggled with the decision to publish because “anti-fluoriders” were akin to “anti-vaxxers.”6

Trump admin.: IDF must completely withdraw from Lebanon by Feb. 18

The US opposes any Hezbollah integration into the new Lebanese government, saying that this is a "red line" for the Trump administration.

The Trump administration wants February 18 to be the date that Israel completes its withdrawal from southern Lebanon, US Deputy Special Envoy to the Middle East Morgan Ortagus said at a Friday press conference in Beirut.

Ortagus added that the US opposes any integration of Hezbollah into the new Lebanese government and stressed that this is a "red line" for the Trump administration.

The withdrawal of Israeli troops was supposed to take place on January 27, when the White House announced that the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah would be extended until February 18.

Lebanon said that it will continue to comply with the agreement until February 18 and that the US will begin negotiations for the return of Lebanese security prisoners in Israeli prisons who were arrested after October 7, 2023, the White House statement said.

Shot 400 times: Mom of man killed in error on Oct. 8 says probe riddled with insensitivity

Israeli troops fired 400 rounds at Niv Aivas, mistaking him for a terrorist; after finally meeting officials, bereaved parents got letter addressed to son saying probe into ‘his’ complaint is closed

Niv Aivas, one of numerous civilians who rushed to volunteer for IDF reserve duty in the aftermath of Hamas’s October 7, 2023, onslaught on southern Israel, was killed a day later when Israeli security forces misidentified his car as that of an invading terrorist and gunned him down with some 400 rounds.

Aivas’s parents have since sought to hold those responsible to account, and have petitioned the High Court of Justice for the army to recognize their son as a fallen soldier rather than a “terror victim” as it does currently.

On January 30, they were horrified to receive an official letter addressed to their slain son, informing him that the Department of Internal Police Investigations — which probes allegations of police misconduct — had closed his complaint about the “incident of October 8, 2023,” after determining there was no “reasonable foundation to suspect criminal misconduct,” the parents told Channel 12 news in a report aired Thursday.

The late Aivas, according to the letter, is “entitled to appeal the decision to the appeals division of the State Prosecutor’s Office” via return mail or through the office’s website.

Keren Aivas, the bereaved mother, told Channel 12 she nearly fainted when she read the letter.

Israeli press exposing war crimes

Bomb the area, gas the tunnels: Israel’s unbridled war on Gaza’s underground

Unable to pinpoint Hamas commanders in Gaza’s tunnels, the Israeli army decimated entire residential blocks with bunker-buster bombs to crush the passages below and flood them with lethal fumes, an investigation reveals.

The Israeli army intensively bombarded residential areas in Gaza when it lacked intelligence on the exact location of Hamas commanders hiding underground, and intentionally weaponized toxic byproducts of bombs to suffocate militants in their tunnels, an investigation by +972 Magazine and Local Call can reveal.

The investigation, based on conversations with 15 Israeli Military Intelligence and Shin Bet officers who have been involved in tunnel-targeting operations since October 7, exposes how this strategy aimed to compensate for the army’s inability to pinpoint targets in Hamas’ subterranean tunnel network. When targeting senior commanders in the group, the Israeli military authorized the killing of “triple-digit numbers” of Palestinian civilians as “collateral damage,” and maintained close real-time coordination with U.S. officials regarding the expected casualty figures.

Some of these strikes, which were the deadliest in the war and often used American bombs, are known to have killed Israeli hostages despite concerns raised ahead of time by military officers. Moreover, the lack of precise intelligence meant that in at least three major strikes, the army dropped several 2,000-pound bunker-buster bombs that killed scores of civilians — part of a strategy known as “tiling” — without succeeding in killing the intended target.
